A big announcement doesn't have to be the official arrival of a card series...

a cancellation would also class as a pretty big announcement

Given a few of nVidias press releases.... Huang could have wiped his a*** with his other hand and passed details to the PR department...and it would be a major announcement.

    major announcement of GTX 260...285 re-branding :p
Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.

A sense of humor might be in order

It seems unreasonable to expect miraculously good news about Fermi

All we need now is an Nvidia employee on this forum and we could arrange a fight between them. I volunteer to be the referee, I'll try to do my best Big John McCarthy impersonation ever.

There's nothing scary about something that's been delayed for 6 months, with 2+ more months of delays due to lack of availability.

Infact, I think it's the other way around.

First of all, FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Secondly, it is not an nVidia thread. I wouldn't be surprised at all if does turn out that it is just a rebranded tweaked-out product; same as the rumor that ATI might be doing the same thing soon. But I understand where you come from, being that ATI has been owning nVidia the last two generations, and their prices are way lower than nVidia.

If they start selling Fermi on Monday for $400 I will be the first in line to buy one. If they announce that they're going to release it in late March and we don't see it for retail until August at $600-$800, I will laugh at any Nvidia fanboy that talks negatively about the competitor for the next decade.
