    Little question...

I can bring here one TEC1-12710s
    http://www.eshop.bg/eshop3/phps/addo...?myid=10351637

And i want to use it on Phenom II x4 B50 with a Mugen2 on top of it... Will it do the trick ?
My friend says me wattage of peltier element is not so important and he run X2 4400 with 30W pelt... Is this can be truth ?

So i will be happy to know what exactly i need to buy regardin furter upgrade to 1156 of 1366 socket or i can stay to 6 core AMD...

    Thanks in advice

he may well of run a 4400 with a 30w pelt but he was not doing himself any favours....he could quite likely of got better temps leaving off the pelt and just putting any after market HSF on the CPU.
There is every possibility that your mate was only cooling the CPU by about 25w assuming he was running it at 12v.

There is no sense what so ever in putting an underpowered pelt on a CPU, you might get away with it on a low output like a 4400 which is 65wTDP bearing in mind TDP is a maximum, but you try the same trick with your 4 core and you stand a good chance of mightily regretting it.

A 12710 has a max. cooling power of 85w power it at 12v and this drops to a shade under 70w and thats in ideal conditions which you are likely to have a job to achieve so you might only get 60w cooling off it. Bear in mind the TDP is twice this. If you don't have multithreaded programs and only light usage you might get away with it but it will run hot...which isn't the really the point of trying to increase cooling is it ?
If you push the CPU you are very likely to get heat overloads damaging your CPU. And as I have already said anyone with half an ounce of common sense wont put an undersized pelt on a CPU, it is courting disaster.

You have an extra problem and that is that the correct size pelt for your 4 core (usually the TDP plus at least 25%) should not be run with air cooling.

As for upgrades for 6 core AMD...you are joking...aren't you ?
