Talking Happy Valentine's Day from PURE

Did my celebrating last night so spent today catching up on some work. Been bashing the EVGA Classified for so long I decided to try something new.

    CPU: Xeon w3570 3847A987 @ 1.66v vcpu 1.44 vtt
    MB: Gigabyte X58A-UD7 w/ F4 BIOS
    RAM: Corsair Dominator GT 2000C7 @ 1.72vdimm
    GFX: EVGA 8400GS
    PSU: Corsair HX1000
    Pot: K|ngp|n F1EE
    Dinner: Firecracker Roll from Steel

I have better runs kicking around but I thought it'd be fun to post 5.3GHz, 5.4GHz, 5.5GHz, and 5.6GHz runs. Turns out my 5.6GHz 1M is lost somewhere

Had fun with the board over ~3 hours and I plan on benching it to pieces with Gulftown in a month. Now to start actually testing it on a single-stage and achieve some semblance of efficiency

it must have something to do with Chris, Brian, and that place. the combination of the three cause all the problems. Brian and the same hardware at his place are fine, Chris and the hardware at his place are fine...but you can't put the two of them together at that place.

wonder what happens at Brian's with Chris there?

Need to switch to the Classified for K|ngp|n's 32M contest, I don't know this board well enough to be efficient The fact that I'm already 30 seconds behind Nick's ridiculous 6:06 is depressing.. might be able to get into the 6:28 range if I'm lucky... need a i5 660/661/670

might have to run the 3570 tonight just to see if it still has any juice in itself....been awhile since I ran 32M on it.

I'm telling you it is Brian that is cursed. I haven't outright killed anything in months. Brian comes to my apartment and all hell breaks loose. Who knows, maybe the complete opposite would happen at his place...

Have to be able to laugh at yourself, right? I find it hilarious that I get blamed for so much

I was actually measuring this b/c the voltage reported in Vista on CPUZ was WAY off what the actual voltage was. In Vista for some reason CPU-Z reads 0.1v lower than the real voltage. The vdroop itself was actually nonexistent, it flutters around 0.005v or so even through wPrime. Just goes to show you can't trust CPU-Z as a voltage measuring tool.
