Single Bay Res or Tube Res?

Is there any real difference other than appearance? I can't see any performance differences. I'm trying to decide on EK MO 250 or BP Single Bay. Any opinions? I'll be running a single loop with D5 and 2 rads, CPU, MB and GPU.

Tube res, as in a T-line? I don't have experience with either, but T-line's can take a while to bleed air out of the loop.

bay reservoirs can be a pain to bleed. Tube res are pretty easy to bleed.

Honestly, there is not much difference between the 2 types of reservoirs other than appearance. Both function to give you someplace for the removal of air bubbles from your loop and equalize flow to a degree. A T-line will function the same way but much with less volume. You need to be a bit more creative bleeding a T-line. I've never used a reservoir going with Swiftech's rad / res combo and now with the MCR Drive. I like the simplicity of it. Performance wise, I'm giving up very little. However, my solution is not very extreme, but it works for me.

You need to make a decision what you're after. Simple improved cooling performance or cooling performance plus bling or a real trick looking pc. Water cooling at this point, really allows one to be very creative.

I've tried both. A T-line is harder to bleed, but takes up less space and costs a fraction to set up compared to a dedicated res.

I believe the OP is talking about the EK multi-option reservoir, not a T-line with just tubing. Something like this, but longer:

As has been said - both work, just figure out what works best for your loop configuration and case.

You just have to show your case every chance you get, huh?

Although I did read somewhere bay reservoirs are harder to bleed than tube reservoirs.

Thanks for the input guys. Shar is right I was referring to the EK Multioption vs a bay res. Since I'm putting it in a 800D and using a 5970 card which is very long, the tube is very close to the end of the card. I will still use the tube res once the Stealthres brackets come from Petras.

Bayres is a b1tch to fill and bleed, i'd take a tube res any day.

Tube reses bleed easier, but the T3 bled the easiest of any res I've ever used. Nonetheless, I like tube reservoirs more because they result in shorter tubing runs.
