I don't think their is much more air cooling I can do

I have an 800D case with a TRUE. I replaced everything with Yate Loon low CFM fans. This thing is near silent. I have an H50 on order to try it. I know I am getting two GTX 480s when they launch. I am trying to see the cards on air and still can't. I think I may have broke the limit of not going Xtreme liquid. 12GB of Dominator 2000C8 is here on Friday. I even have a buddy who can get me the blue memory fan to match my case fans. I think I have no choice but to liquid the cards or do a complete card and CPU loop. Anyone's input? This case is ridiculous if anyone is planning on getting it than it is worth it. That is a 27" LG 1920x1080 and is well worth it before I get asked for size comparison.

This makes for an excellent discussion thread. Great looking rig you've got.

I really like the appeal 2 loops has in a system. Especially when they're colored separately. Find out what kind of wattage those video cards are going to throw and go from there. You can't say you don't have the space. The question though is weather you have the funds to do it. If you do, great. If you don't you might hold off on the video cards until you can get rid of that extra heat.

at worst you might need a side panel fan blowing some fresh air onto the cards

you might want to look into higher flow fans first... doing two loops with 2gpu and a cpu will easily run you 400 bucks... probably more like 500-600 depending on how hardcore you get with radiators. but fwiw, i just redid my loop to include a gpu and i added 3 more fans to my MCR360 and temps are friggin awesome now all around.

if you dont mind wanting to rip your hair out while isntalling yoru cooling go with water... otherwise you'll just needs more CFM

The liquid cooling loops would have to be a buy as you go thing but this case was really meant for it. I think it can handle the two cards on air but the benefit of liquid on large cards like those will be is worth it I think, especially since this is going to have to last me a couple of years before the wife lets me spend that much at once again.

then the extra 500 or so on watercooling will be well spent. plus you'll be able to overclock more

add another blue fan at the bottom for intake.... and can you add another vertical one next to it on that cage??

    would be cheap and effective

Take off that casing on that GX2, it helps a lot.

maybe buy a vacuum cleaner as well :P just look at all that dust on your desk, tsk tsk

on topic: if air is working for you then dont bother, liquid cooling is a whole can of worms, its never as easy as it looks and then there is always the desire to add more rads, blocks, pumps, loops, etc... its never ending

Did that today benchmarking help tremendously. Card was at 775/1200 fan @ 100% and max temp was 65C running furmark for 30+ mins. Not folding anymore Mak?

I have an air cooler GTX280 and it really heats up my case. I have also spent quite a bit of time tweaking it for the best possible temps since the vrms run hot as hell. I would have been better off just setting up a loop for my video card. It is the one component that I would really like to water cool. That card clocks like a beat too I can only imagine what she could do on water.

I also have this case, I7 920 on Megahalems and 5870 with stock heatsink. It is becoming increasingly annoying to keep increasing 5870 heatsink fan speed to 70% just to avoid GSOD while in a game. Since this case can comfortably fit 120.3 and 120.1 radiators, I am wondering whether it would be wise to put I7 920 (stock speed so far) on a 120.1 radiator and 5870 on 120.3 radiator, thus having 2 separate loops. Or perhaps run everything in series in one loop, with 120.3 and 120.1 radiators serving as a single 120.4 radiator. Any input?

If you're willing to go to a positive pressure case, take your rear fan off and remove the grill behind it. That will improve the airflow away from your heatsink.

On my 800D I actually inverted the fan that sits next to the CPU, so that it blows fresh air on my Megahalems. This way, at least in my opinion, fresh air is introduced next to the CPU and warm air rises to the top of the case and exits through the 3 fan cut-outs present in the roof of the case.
