    F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZs Will - F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQs Won't

Have a situation here where my HZs will run like the wind in a setup but the NQs won't even boot. Are they that much different?

Before swapping I set the bios to 5-5-5-15-2T @ 1.95v

    System specs:

    Mobo: abit NF-M2 nView

Try one stick at a time to make sure no sticks are defective. You may want to set VDIMM slightly lower as well. To answer your question, they are quite different.

It appears that the mem didn't like the oc that I failed to stop before installing the mem. All is good thanks! Did the each deal and then thought about the oc and did the cmos thing.

They are more geared for light gaming, multiple applications, and such but not your massive overclockers or high performance memory like the HZ.

I thought it would be that way, but I hadn't expect the overclock to have been impacted this much!

The Hzs in the assembly would take the 1210 easily to 3.1GHz, however with these NQs I can't get over 2.6GHz.

    Whereas here they do "wonders".......http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=135578

Is this one of those intel vs amd thing or has the memory changed that much over the years?

2.0, 2.1, 2.2 and 677 (where the HZs work), 533, and 400(doesn't want to boot)

I've used both 9X and 8.5X multis with 8.5 at least taking me up to 2.7GHz, however 9X at 300 is a no-boot situation with 290 and up not being stable with a 16M run of HPi.

    Thks
