Yup, that's what matters, I'd be curious to know also!

Is it just me or it's odd of Zalman to release low end products, though?

that depends if you take just having a high price as being high end or not.

id think a 100$ psu is more than plenty for anyone who dosnt want to do multi-gpu, and your able to get the quality you want, and it can be modular. and with how long they last, its 100$ hopefully well spent.

where is the load voltage regulation graphs?
    where is the technical specs?
What type of Capacitors are being used?
What good is this news without useful information to help evaluate it.

Simple clear desing, at least good input cap (Samxon), bad output caps (look like OST to me), just like my OEM Seasonic...oh, wait, ISN'T this Seasonic??

I dont see the news in this, sorry.

Low-wattage, basic spec PSUs..... fine... but I'd want efficiency+++++++ as a selling point

You can get a Corsair TX 750W for 99$ (ok, after mir but whatever), in short you can easily power a multi gpu setup for less than 100$.

There just isn't much of a market for this unless it's really dirt cheap.

My sister's PC PSU died and I got an Enermax 450w for her for 40 euros ($55).

This Zalman looks REALLY cheap, I'd be surprised if it goes for over $50.

i got my 650W modular HX(i think) for about 150$ cause they were new.

my 2900xt ripped apart my previous 500W PSU with constant clicking due to how much power it drew. main reason i upgraded, and i hope this lasts me like 10 years. so even if you get something with enough wattage, theres still some kind of quality that goes with it too

First, I wouldn't praise Zalman of taking care of anyone with this "thing." It's being called a 450W power supply while it can only reach that at peak, which is practically dishonest advertising. Should have been labeled as a 400W unit, which it may be able to deliver.

Second, it looks to me that this one is outperformed by something inexpensive like the Antec Earthwatts EA430.....+12V rails rated a bit higher than this Zalman rebadge and the Antec costs $49.99 USD right now at Newegg.

As if other quality vendors with even lower wattage psus didn't exist...
FSP, Seasonic both have/had sub-400W PSUs with high efficiency.
