What ram has 100% sure D9GTS/GTR chips?

I recently bought some used CSX Diablo's with GTR's but they're not really good and need 2.11V to run 900 7-6-5 stable.

After that i tried some 2x1GB Ballistix 1800 8-8-8 (BL12864BE1808.8SFB1), rated 1.9V so i expected them to be GTS/GTR but they can barely run 1600 7-7-7, not even with 2.1V, lol.

The Ballistix prolly have D9KPT or something. (or even Samsung HCF0?)

    I've seen this ram:http://www.komplett.nl/k/ki.aspx?sku=344296

and was wondering if this could be D9GTR or GTS?

Judging by the specs i'm inclined to think so; DDR 1600 7-6-6 with 1.9V

Anyone know what ram has D9GTS/GTR without a doubt?

Yes i did. Sold the AMD setup.

I tried skews and GTL voltages, the skews helped me to brin Vdimm down from 2.15 to 2.1V but i think that is still waay to much.

Can't find drive strength in bios though.

Yah thats more of an AMD thing. Intel has clock skew's and a few other adjustments. IIRC TRFC makes a huge diff on intel. Might want to play with it.

What intel platform are you on with those sticks? I can take a look see on p55 or x58 with my GTR/GTS can't help yah on 775 though I just got a ddr II board.

    I'm on a X48 board. (Rampage Extreme)

I have a feeling the Diablo's aren't great, 900 7-6-5 should be possible with 1.9V with good GTR.

I'm puzzled by the Crucials, i'd really expected them to be GTS or GTR but they were nothing like GTS/GTR more like how Samsung HCF0 behaves. (don't like tight timings <cas 8)

Nah can't be sammies, on a "good IMC ES chip" from the early batches before 955 we were doing 1800 7-7-7 on sammies with crappy kingston. I would imagine that intel would clock them easier.

I found that GTR/GTS needed alot for that trp @ 5, back it off to 7-6-6 or 7-7-7 and needed far less voltage.

I think I maxxed out my IMC on one chip at 940 7-7-7 on some crappy crucial GTS at 1.9v.

I have 2 kits of G.Skill HZ 2x1GB 1600Mhz D9GTS. I know they stopped using D9GTS/GTR IC's on these sticks a while back. I don't use them anymore and they are sitting here collecting dust. Have to get them in the For Sale section.

I didn't run 7-6-5 but could run 7-6-6 no problem with them.

Hello, If you are looking for D9GTR / GTS / JNL memory, you have to go CELLSHOCK, the 1600 7-7-7 and the 1800 8-7-6 have surely D9GTR or GTS, if you are looking for JNL, than take the Cellshock Blue Line Kit 1866 8-8-8 . Best regards from germany

I think that's a lot of money for "old tech" memory, all new memory is low voltage stuff.

Thanks for your efforts anyway, hopefully i can find some for a more reasonable price.

    You're sure?

The 1800 c8 1.9V kit i got clocks like cr@p with timings tighter than c8.

Even 7-7-7 clocked awefull, if this is GTS/R it must be the worse GTS/R ever.

I couldn't believe it but after much fiddling, swearing, tweaking and trying i got the Ballistix to run at 1800 7-6-6.

Unfortunately the Ballistix aren't any better than my Diablo's as they required 2.09V to operate at 1800 7-6-6.

I haven't tried 7-6-5 but it's kinda pointless cause i was looking for hitting my target at lower than 2V.

At least this is some sort of confirmation this sticks might be GTR or GTS after all.

Oh well, some more stick to go onto the ram pile.

I think you're right, i had to set trfc to at least 88 and it was still unstable.

do you mind explaining the difference between the two other than bin by micron?
same situation as gmh vs gkx or e8400 vs e8500 , all the difference is down to specific batch, period

can you check the shape and size of IC under the heatspreader?
if those are gtr/gts those are fat and wide (13x10mm iirc) and if those are hcf0 those are small and square (10x10mm iirc) , can't recall crucial using any other chips on ballistix modules.

They're rectangular shaped, not square. I guess they're micron D9KPT or D9JNM/JNL. Or just very bad GTS/GTR.

I'm still looking for something with GTS/GTR but it's not easy at all.

Does anyone know if it's easy to remove the hideous (watercooled) spreaders of the OCZ flex mem?

jnl is also kinda-square , obviously not as wide as gtr (check pics on the net)
if you have jnl then they should've clocked very nice with cl7

ocz flex (at least in ddr2 times) had hs stuck to chips pretty tight, so won't recommend that
