Raid 0 - SSD's Agility 30GB + Vertex 30GB...Will it work??

Hi Xtremers...

That's the situation...

One of my OCZ Agility is dead now...As I still am in the warranty I asked another but where I bought they said they do not have more Agility yet...

So the man offered me a Vertex 30GB and I was wondering if my Raid 0 will work again as we know that the system will be balanced on the "slowest" one, so the vertex will work in the same performance of the Agility and at the end my Raid 0 will stay the same as two Agilitys, am I right????

I know that Raid 0 is possible with 2 different HD's but what about SSD's???

Will work just fine. You're right raid0 gives speeds roughly 2 times the speed of the _slowest_ drive, so with a vertex + agility you'd get roughly the same performance as 2x agility (ie, your old setup). Enjoy your new drive!

Yep it will work fine , remember some Agilitys are faster then standard Vertex ( due to nand used in that run) so you may end up with 2X Vertex speeds lol ....
