    Exclamation [WR]PRETESTING Corsair GTX2, behold DDR3-2340 6-7-6 AIR! [WR]

    Opening with a short story as usual
    Italian Nexthardware & Gigabyte decided to help me, in order to get connected for that Im very pleased!

    A short while ago a parcel arrived at my new appartment;

    The package contained;
    3x 2GB Corsair GTX2 DDR3-2250 8-8-8-24 1.65v, Dominator fan

    A bit earlier a big nice PSU arrived:
    Corsair TX950, a 78A 12V monster, reviewed here

    I messed around a little, but it didnt take me long to realize it was invain... There was no way to do max clocks without DICE on CPU, IMC simply needs the cold to satisfy the ram extreme brute force..
    So what to do, what to do? Well, low latency performs good

    Setup used;
    Intel i7-870
    Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6
    Corsair 2x2GB GTX2250
    Corsair TX950
    Corsair Dominator FAN
    Home build water; (Mo-Rad 9x120x120, Laing D5, Enzotech, res, 4x120mm fans)

    Here is what I came up with! Please note; ALL has been done with aircooled ram.

    The voltage remains hidden for this shot, personal reasons

    In this little project, I decided to make a benchtower, so that I could put it on my balcony while I was sitting inside in the warm heat.

    Pics of the setup;

    THANKS TO MADSHRIMPS

    Yes that is the TX950 in there

    So a few more significant results, as these prove a heck of alot more...

    32M, stability!
    I dare tell vdimm of this one, sure, its high, but they wont die...

    1.96v

    I cant resist saying, I actually like their looks, maybe its because I think they are slightly copycat? Secret revealed; Heck, Im an ATI fanboy!

    So how high did they do 1M??? Again; Vdimm, secret. (please note, above no#2 suicide)

    Finally, a pic of the spec label;

    Many thanks to;
    Corsair & Gigabyte

    thats some crazy memory.

    i am curious about your test bench setup: did you just remove the back panel and tray from a case and screw it to the table after cutting out some wood?

    This was all done with CPU on water. It was the max clocks he said needs DICE for. At least that's how I read it.

    Thanks all!

    Eva2000; Yes, true, honestly, I tried 1300mhz 7-8-7 as first thing, but simply, the IMC in my i7-870 is too weak for that... That is the story of the watercooling

    Resident1509; Basicly yes.... Good thing about this table is that its very solid, you can fall on it, it wont break, you dont have to be careful moving it around, I put some textile pads on the buttom as well, just to allow even easier moving.... Daily its standing under my table... =)

    I knew you were preparing crazy RAM numbers, but I`m glad it worked out that nice. Well done, congrats!

    Great work Marc, nice little monsters you got there...
    Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

    Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    I'd say 2.25V

    Thanks all

    Lower vdimm then expected
    I dont know which ICs are used on the sticks, but MGH sounds realistic, due the scaling with voltage, but from what I found, the ver.x.x of Corsair cant fit, because I noticed from Hi Cookies pictures on facebook on the GTX1 kit (2400 9-11-9), 8.1, that would equal nanya IC, which I do not think will happen....

    Nickshih, I didnt test 3D, but I would say, if 32M stable, deff 3D stable, the sticks are killers =) I do believe 1100mhz 6-7-6 is possible if removing the humidity control on T30, for 3D benching as well

    @M.Beier,
    Those are some fairly decent numbers you've got there... j/k! Very, strong and impressive showing! Congrats!

    Dominator GTX2 (just as as GTX1) was born to to fit any hardcore overclocker the way a well fitted glove fits a hand.
    I'm glad you're giving it the proper treatment!

    I'm sure that with T30 you will climb up even higher Good luck!
