Cool ---Project BiXeon --- (SR-2 build)

    Hi all,
after my last project (Server of nod), with 3 WC loops
this time i'm going on something bigger.

    so, what we have?

    [ ] - not ordered yet
    [~] - on the way
    [V] - got it!

    [V] 2X Xeon 5620
    [~] EVGA SR-2 A1
    [V] 2X Corsair HX1000 PSU's (got 2 TX750, but i changed them)
    [ ] Corsair domminator 1600 6X2GB (i'm not think that GT's worth extra 100$)
    [V] Dell Perc5I raid controller 2Xsff4848
    [ ] 3X GTX 580 SLI
[ ] MOUNTAIN MODS EXTENDED ASCENSION
    [V] 2X 74 GB raptors in raid 0
    [ ] 4X SSD's in raid 0 (Vertex 2 or C300 \ C400 )

    [ ] 2X ODD's

water cooling list will be uploaded soon

    4KW!

    dual psu adpter

TFC 360 that i already have...

few pumps , but i'll use 355, and not the 655 or D5

I predict that rig under heaviest load will pull about 900watt max... So, you're gonna need those 1000w working together to get some good efficiency.

Aren't you going to water cool the CPUs? I think you should to do the build justice

Yaaay the EK SR-2 duck-looking waterblock!
Signatures make my posts look huge... but I'm not humble enough to completely remove my signature, so I kept this note explaining it.

there is a little update. i know that log going slowly. but that better then nothing.
i've ordered the HPTX tray from MM,
    for my custom case build.

it seems that the production cost will be more then i thougt. (CNC & waterjet)

so, i'll return to the MM EX-Ascention case. it's the best value for my money.

first stage - get the case, and other hardwere. (GPUs, HDDs)
second stage - get 3 Dell u2311 for the multi display.
thired stage - WC it all

this is the first GPU, more to come soon.

    MM tray & bundle

bench table for a while. i need the other case parts.

    vantage - all stock.

and, after some twikes, 4GHZ on air. cant wait for the LC.

    Hello my friends !

after long time without updated, the project continuous,

the big issue was the case for this build, i really wanted a MM cube, but that was too expensive, i tried some pre owned cases, but the final price was not cheap too.

now. i've see this baby on Frozen :
    the new Lian Li PC-Z70

now, i'm going on dual PSU inside, and, i'll build external box or stand for the rads.

    what do you think?

    hello,
after a long time with no update, this project came from the death.
until now, i've worked with my lian li PC-Z70, that done great work on air.

then, with a small update, i replaced the DELL PERC5I raid controller with other GTX580 (Zotac), both now reference design.

in the past time, i got some extra HDD's, extra DOMM's, new monitors, new house and new wife

    workstation
    :

    befor:

    after:

in connection with the case issue.
i've tried to get used MM case, but got nothing.
a new one - is too expensive right now,

so, i got simple sketch - let me know what do you think:

    1. you can see the lian li PSU brackets
    2. i know that the GPU's are 560 (cant find any 580)
    3. this is not finished yet. still need to make a choice of the rad positions (2XTFC360+1XTFC240+2XMCR240+1XBLACE ICE 360+ HWLABS X FLOW 240)
    4. cube size is 50WX50DX70H CM, maybe turned to 60CM D.
    5. i already got the MM HPTX MB Tray.
