I hope this is one of the better version of an ROG board on X58 platform
Uh.. I hope that's not going to be the shipping NB sink... Otherwise there's going to be some melting NBs in their future.
The naked board looks gorgeous, high quality digital PWMs make be jealous.
Why does the board have a 4 pin molex connection on it ???

Excellent to see, I am glad I didn't buy the R2E last night.
Thanks again Leeghoofd for letting me know
Looking forward to some numbers and date of retail release and how much coin it will cost me.
On a side note to all the people that have been around for a while.
How long does it normally take for companies like bitspower, EK to make wc blocks for these boards, any ideas?
andre it looks very nice , could you tell me what psu are you using for testing the board ??? just curious
I would imagine EK will have a block either at launch time or just a week or two afterwards. Same with BP.

Might be a stupid question. But, will the upcoming 6 core Gulftown 32nm be supported by this board?

Let`s see how it performs
at last mobo with DirectFET's packages . Btw, why nobody solder pins on monitoring points? Isn't it much more to catch probe lead to pin, and pushing probe to small pad, which can jump and short near elements? It's not that expensive to do
Looking forward to this. Love my RE 1
I hate integrated sound...

Good design and components but:
a_I don't like the trend of putting extra useless 8pin eps connector in high end boards, you don't need 6000W for a cpu
b_Useless molex over there(in the final version there will be two)
^
There are already two. One is at the bottom of the board facing downwards.
any word on the gene version of the rampage extreme III ???
