    i would say taht a HD5870 at those speeds will need more than 350-400watt pr card so therefor 3 psu

    But same config, just with Gulftown ran on 1200W SilverStone + 1000W Corsair HX in 2009 if Im not mistaking, and without any problems as for power consumption.
