Two Dragon Wallpapers *NEW INSIDE*

Here is a new one, I worked about 3 hours today on it. It's currently my personal backround.

Edge Detect work on the AMD logo along with fading, corner light with light refracting off of the head neck and wings of the dragon with shadows under belly and feet.
Gradient from head to back of tail, tail signicicantly darker than rest of dragon etc.

AMD Phenom II X4, AMD 790X Logo (I run a 790X board) , and ATI Radeon Graphics logo's are more detailed and color accurate.

Due to this one being a personal edit, it is provided as is. I can also upload a modified 790FX logo, remove the Radeon logo, and resize it thats about it. Widescreen only.

can you make it 1680x 1050?

nevermind, i cant figure out a good way to remove the amd stuff and just leave the dragon, so its too tacky for me XD

did you make the lighting effects? or what that already in the image because im looking for a way to do that myself

Yes I did...

EDIT: As for the light emitting from the dragon's shiny exoskeleton, I just made a duplicate later of the dragon and applied a huge amount of gaussian blur, then reduced the opacity to 30%. Due to the Dragon originally being in a different layer than the backround with the original light source, I opted for a second one on the original Dragon's layer.

I use GIMP, and there is a lighting effects tab with tons of sub tabs:

You can change alot of stuff, the type of light, color, "foggyness" about it, clarity of it, and you can apply a bump map on the layer too.

Hmm, I'm being completely honest here...it seems to "bake" the image a bit...I tried to make sure nothing hit complete white or topped out in exposure...

Also in the first image it seems the dragon is brighter than the light source.

It doesn't look horrible though.

yeah i did that on purpos, i figured a light like that would bake it a little. so i recrated the light source so it would emulate the light given of by a starburst as that

Hmm, here it is leaned up a bit. The ATI logo sticks out a little so I removed it but I can easily (in 30 seconds) add it again.

That thread is like on the fourth page of threads....how was I supposed to see it or revive it?

And I spent like 3 hours hunting up pics and cooming up with ideas and the finished product came about 4 hours into the work. Then came the resizing, and additional requests etc. In all, I worked on it for like 6 hours+...

I use the search function of the website,just put in a keyword and boom
I don't know if anyone told you this but a lot of people out there work for 8+
hours everyday,so stop slacking

I took the liberty to change to X3 and 790FX chipset for my setup.

I didn't know which font you used so I guessed.
