Post Causes of cold boot issues, anyone? ( P6T )

The ongoing thread is not very responsive on what seems to be a systematic problem with the Asus P6T line of motherboards. Surely, I'm not the only one at xtreme that has not encountered a similar situation.

I can run 20, 21 x 200 8,8,8,24 without a problem : games, prime all work fine. The problem is when trying to start the computer after a long shut-off period of time, there is no boot sequence - no post. Tried another powersupply, the card is new, memory passes without a problem.

    Bios 0301
    Bios 0904

On occasion, the bios will completely reset to factory settings during a cold boot sequence as well.

    Any clues on the cause?

    Thank you

I had Exactly the same problem when doing 19X200 8-8-8-24 but it was solved when i upgraded the Video Card so it is apparently a mix of many factors and working at stock there was no cold boot , Bios 0707 Dated 8/18/2008

I had a PCPOWER 750 and changed it to this. It was perfectly fine with my 4870x2 and rampage extrem (775)...so I'm using it on this combination.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I tried another powersupply and still no go so it's definitely the bios/board.

    Bios version 0904 so far.

No issues with bios 0801 . I7 at 200x21 (ht on) and ram @ 7-9-7-20/2000Mhz

I have cold boot issues when i disable HT. Also , newer bios sucks as the max bclock is limited to 185 mhz when selecting the 2:10 ram divider . So i stay with this "old" bios .
