Using Intel INF Driver version 9.1.1.1025 causes random freezes with the G32 bios for me. Earlier version of the INF driver doesn't seem to do this though.

mmm sound like needing new intel firmware
ok i ask for the latest firmware to be in the next bios
thanks
@Lord Trident: thanks for that.mmm sound like needing new intel firmware

That causes problems with installing windows 7 in ahci mode though...stick with the old firmware!!
My flaming blade wont install win7 on an SSD in AHCI mode on the latest intel firmware, revert to older bios with older firmware and its fine.
Also seen this on a couple dell laptop at work with latest intel firmware on ICH10, always when installing new out the box SSD's. Resolved by initialising all the disks on my BR, they then install no problem on the other systems .
I'm currently using 9.1.1.1025 driver on P09 and its working fine, as im using Matrix storage AHCI mode it only installed new USB drivers, nothing else updated over 9.1.1.1011.
Those experiencing crashes tried turning off USB power management options and error detection from device manager?
Lord Trident when will the new bios? The G32 is incorrect.
Bloodrage is at the end. The new BIOS go out very rarely.
Sory my eng.

what do you mean G32 is incorrect
it is the newest
bloodrage is not at the end as the gti is still been made and sold
and you say new BIOS go out very rarely then you not seen all the bios that have been released
Bloderage you have G32 (beta) there was another but only put in to more gulftown cpu so i did not release.
If you asking when the new P bios will be release that diffrent and i say when the Gulftown are release then you have a new P version
So Lysyn123 what are you after
This is where the freezes? Not only for me. P09 is a better and older.

P09 is not to old and g32 is bassed on that with new microcode for gulftown
so you have to say more then freeze as so far apart from intel driver no one else is reporting that
plus please give your spec if you want me to help
thanks
So this bios will be ready for the i7 980 XE when released? I might pick one up if about or under $999.

sorry i dont overclock am using it to compile code for my game stuff
but it detect and everything is working on it
the other reason i dont over clock much is i only get one cpu so have to tested a few board and it very easy to kill some of the ES
I am thinking hard about the i7 980 but... might wait to get a i7 970 if it is true they will release a budget 6 core...

the new p10 bios have something new? or only the Gulftown support?
i have some memory timmings problems with the bloodrage g32 and the kingston hyperx 2000 mhz, and with the older bios (p08) the ssd don't boot first if i put an areca 1210sa controller with others disks in raid.
i7 920 C0 @ 4.3 GHz - Foxconn Bloodrage - Noctua NH-D14
6 GB DDR3-2000 @ 2050 8-9-8-24-1T
Intel SSD X-25M G2 160 GB - Raid 0 @ 4 Velociraptor's
PSU ABS Tagan 1300W Modular - Case Thermaltake Tai-Chi
EVGA GTX480 SC SLI - HT Omega Claro Halo XT - Dell u3011
Keyboard G19 - Razer DeathAdder - Pad Steel 5L - Sennheiser HD-650
I have just seen that the P10 bios has been released, the Release notes on the official site say the following: Add support for Gulftown CPU.
And I also see G33 at QF site, what's new in it is it the same as P10 ?
BTW,
Carl, is the problem with the Perc 5/i has been solved already with the new BIOSes ?
I am still with G13

do not know about the Perc 5/i (try if not please say)
G33 just had a bit more mirocode that then become P10 but as i got the G33 two hours after i released G32 it was not worth releasing
and no one had the cpu or else they would have complain lol
Flashed to P10 tonight.
The Perc 5/i Issue is still NOT FIXED (getting "Device Cannot Start - Error Code 10 ")!
In addition, I get a warning on POST that my OC settings were not working, while I am still working in Stock configuration :S
Damn you Foxconn, how long does it take to Fix an issue which a lot of people have with this board and the Perc 5/i ?!
