Description:
 A fix for the infamous GPU Scaling issue with ATI Catalyst(tm) and Windows 7. See below for
 more details.

Requirements:
 - An x86/x64 CPU.
 - A DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort monitor. CRT will not work.
 - Microsoft(R) Windows 7. Both x86 and x64 should be supported. Tested on x64.
 - Latest ATI Catalyst(tm) drivers.
 - Microsoft(R) Visual C++ 2008 Runtime (x86), can be found here:

 - Microsoft(R) .NET Framework v2.0 (minimum), can be found here:

Note:
 - If you have not checked "Enable GPU Scaling" in Catalyst Control Center, you must do so first.
 - This program has only been tested on one machine (AMD Turion Ultra X2 laptop with HD 3200 IGP),
   so please don't hesitate to give positive constructive feedback!

Usage:
 - Run the program.
 - Select the desired GPU Scaling mode.
 - Run your favorite 3D application (such as a game, etc).
 - Enjoy. Please everyone submit tickets to the Catalyst crew feedback system!

I run my 4870 with a DVI -> HDMI adapter running into a Hannspree HF259H.

Usually I have to increase the scaling option in CCC to 0% in order to avoid getting black bars around the edges of the screen. Well today I did a reformat and installed CCC and voila, it worked out of the box. I don't know why ATI removed scaling options nor how they fixed the problem I was having in the first place.

ATIs word on this issue is that you need to lower the resolution of your display to below native, select your prefered scaling option then return to the native resolution once more. The setting will still be greyed out once you are running native again however you *should* have the proper scaling ( I like playing a lot of older 4:3 games at 1600x1200 myself ) Regards, nice quick fix though Agent. Hopefully AMD can straighten this crap out though. Their current work around is somewhat awkward.
