    laptop Intel Penryn CPU overclocking

    I have a MSI-1651-ID2 barebone laptop :

    CPU : T4500 ES @ 3.16GHz (275x11.5)
    GPU : Geforce GTS 160M @ Core700/SP1800/Mem2000
    Mem: 2048MB Samsung DDR3-1066

the Max FSB that I can get is 275MHz

I can push the T4200es to 2750MHz with the RAM (275MHz)

obviously , the RAM is the bottleneck

if I change the DDR3-1066 ram to DDR3-1333
can I get to the 300 FSB with the T4500es?

what is the stable Core volt for 3.5GHz Penryn CPU ??

Nice work - how did you alter the FSB?

Try memset to lower the ram timing as that might help

    1. use the setfsb to alter the FSB

2.I have the spdtool 0.62 , but I fear to see the black screen after flash the ram

Who have the Samsung DDR3-1333 ram spd file and sent to me?

Only the Asus and MSI notebook can use the SetFSB to alter the FSB

    I used SetFSB on my Asus G51Vx-RX05 P7350 Stock @ 2.0Ghz, and Overclocked it to 2.5Ghz. So 266 -> 333.

But it stops there and hardlocks after 333mhz, So eh. it might be a voltage issue or a HW PPL lock.

I've overclocked my old HP laptop too. But using Nvidia's System tools.
My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?
Once this baby hits 88 TeraFLOPs, You're going to see some serious $@#%....

    Build XT7 is currently active.

If you mean change the SPD then you want to go the other way DDR3-800

Hard to say, varies even for the same family.

acer works as well, but you have to do a hardware mod and take the laptop apart... :S
