This is the problem with the netbook market in general right now. When they first came out it was a battle for lowest price, but since then prices have been shooting up to try to pack in marginally better specs. Now half the netbooks out there are within a few dollars of the cheapest laptops, which typically perform better.
Dual CCIE (Route\Switch and Security) at your disposal. Have a Cisco-related or other network question? My PM box is always open.

someone should make it so no netbook can be called a netbook unless it gets >7 hours battery life, weighs under 3lbs, under 400$ and has a screen so small it gives you eye cancer. the rest can be called cheap laptops

I dont really get this arm book at 500 bucks.

In my mind overall Smartbooks<Netbooks<Ultra thin Laptops "CULV & NEO"<Laptops

But the line is so blurry between most of them The consumer does not know if he is buying a quad core c2q based lappy or a quad thread atom 330 based lappy. I saw some promotional stuff in a shop for the new atom 330 netbook which said in bold letters "Quad thread with OC function" This was a Chinese netbook so most things written in specs was not understandable, the normal consumer thinks hey it says quad and by intel and so cheap yay....

This is getting outrageous. I wonder if IBM would have allowed this BS to occur if it still owned the thinkpad division.

I don't really see the point. Their x100e starts at $450 and is amd neo. Then there's laptops for about the same price that'll include dualcore processors.

Its all a joke. I hope this netbook / ultra portable craze just dies out soon. There's very powerful small laptops that get 6 to 9 hours of battery life with enough power to do just about anything you'd need.
BP ruined my dinner and my region. (yep, I'm still pissed!)

it looks like they squashed a Palm Pixi and they folded it in half.
