The consumer does not know if he is buying a quad core c2q based lappy or a quad thread atom 330 based lappy. I saw some promotional stuff in a shop for the new atom 330 netbook which said in bold letters "Quad thread with OC function" This was a Chinese netbook so most things written in specs was not understandable, the normal consumer thinks hey it says quad and by intel and so cheap yay....
