Does anyone sell titanium laptops without forcing you to buy mac OS?

Are there any other manufacturers of laptops that use titanium or other light metals (aluminum?) for the case? Or other special materials?

Yeah. Or Linux or FreeBSD or whatever. The cost of Mac OS X in terms of the price of a Mac Book Pro is negligible. Or maybe you just don't want that big glowing Apple logo

light metals seem like an obvious material to make laptops cases out of. i guess i will just wait until a real manufacturer decides to enter the market

Panasonic or Lenovo. Both make laptops made with magnesium alloys (not all models).

Well, sometimes. Right now even macrumors.com - a hardcore pro-mac site - suggests you don't buy a Mac Book Pro or Air right now. They're state of the art on release, but it sure decreases as time goes on as they don't release products frequently.
