    [Project] Blood Lust (Updated 1-1-10)

I have begun my adventure of building a completely custom case. After going through idea after idea I chose to build a simple eye pleasing case.

    Enough about that...

I will be using the components from my signature for this build.

Here are a few teaser pics.

That's great work! it looks like it's built like a tank, and perfectly set-up for WC. Doesn't it weigh a tonne though?

I designed it in Solidworks. It made using 6061 T6 Aluminum. Weight is not much at all compared to an Antec P180.

    Looks great Bei Fei

Any plans on getting it powdercoated in the end?

awesome man! i really like customed cases.

in this pics, it is structurally ready? the MB tray looks like it would be flexible. shouldnt it have some support on the other side(other than the pci slots side)?

I haven't decided on powder coating or hard anodizing. I may end up painting it with automotive paint. I know it will be black with red accents.

I cut the material myself using scrap that I had laying around. So at this point my investment is $0.00

I used .25" and .125" for the frame. I am planning on adding .5" and .125 acrylic and some mesh material.

No supports have been added. I will be adding acrylic behind the motherboard tray for support.

He is using a waterjet cutter.

Water at 40,000-60,000+ PSI with usually garnet abrasive is blasted at the material thru a very small hole to form a very precise jet of water and abrasive. Can cut nearly anything with it. And best of all, adds no heat, no slag, and very clean cuts.

Okay... so a Bloodrage, what are you doing for cooling? I see spots for at least a 240 and a 360, but something tells me there is more to it... ?

This will be a very simple build with a single loop. I am planing another build that will take place when I am finished with this that will be much better.
