Cosmos 1000 side panel Asus logo

I plan to cut a window of some sort (acrylic or mesh) and i have been playing around with some ideas on photoshop, to see what they would turn out like.

This is one in particular i liked, but i was wondering if the cut would make the whole side panel too weak around the center point.

also let me know what you think, or if you have any suggestions.

    Cheers

You might want to consider keeping the cuts inside the re-enforcement section on the reverse side of the panel.

I don't get the whole thing with dudes putting company logos on their boxes unless those companies are paying them to advertise. Why not put something that's cool or meaningful to YOU? Are you fishing for sponsorship with these threads? Is that what I'm missing? No offense, just curious.

Nah its just a mock up really :P I'm just looking for like, something that looks good, and that i7 logo looks sleek and professional, which i why i like it. If i find a simple enough graphic then i'll put it on. I don't beleive in sponsorship to be honest, but then again im not after the money/support, I like to know I can do things off my own back, thats the way i've always managed Check back here later today, ill have a sketchup idea of what i may have on the front panel, it was a clock design i saw at artec laser cutting while i was getting a quote

I like the mesh thing, just not company logos, and not on the side - it allows noise to get out. But the front panel is a cool and harmless place for something like that. I was getting bored with the front of my cosmos as well. So lets see what you're up to with this thing.

"Carbon fibre" texture vinyl backing, blue anodized brushed aluminium strip, plain aluminium brushed strip, black brushed parallelogram ontop of 6mm thick clear acrylic (same shape) with LED's embedded in the acrylic, where you see the holes. Used red for this example as it makes it more defined.

Where I'm up to atm with the case it getting an internal support for my radiator cut out, getting it done this morning, and while im there i may get the front panel design done to, if the total cost stays under 200.

Will be cut out in around 5 hours, and ill put pics up here and on my project worklog Industrial Revolution.

If you are doing an i7 logo, why not actually use the i7 logo, not just a random font I and 7? Not quite sure what those blue and silver things are on the front panel, but I assume you don't need fresh air if its watercooled. Love those cases though.

I don't like the original i7 logo haha, but thats me. my style is "simple" so usually less bends/curves but more abstract/agressive. same with painting. Yeah it is watercooled, and I might change that design around a little bit, put some mesh in there somewhere, because i need a front opening at least for air to get in. Yeah I love the cosmos 1000's also, I was going to go with a new Obsidian 800D but i thought i'd give modding a shot . I'm off to get it laser cut now, pics in about an hour

OK say you go with an ASUS logo. the MB dies and you get an EVGA one.
    that would be kinda odd.

or the I7, what will you do when it is time to upgrade to the I8?
buy a new side pannel and put I8 on it? then people will start wondering what did you eat? "I ate"
