Please help me login to Vista 64 after installing Windows 7 dual boot

    Hi!
I used to have XP and Vista 64 on my HTPC.
I would get the dual boot selection screen to boot to either one.
I decided to format the XP partition and installed Windows 7 64 bit there.
Well, now I do not get any boot selection, it goes directly to Windows 7.
How can I restore this safely?

I already tried Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > System Configuration but Vista is not listed.
All the data and partition are intact though.

    Thanks

You deleted the BCD database for the Vista install when you reformatted. The easiest way to replace it probably would be to download EasyBCD: http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and recreate the entry for Vista.

I got that program but I am unsure what options to select to recreate it though.

    Add/Remove entries

Point it to the drive with Vista.

Did that but still no option showed up for me at boot...should I try selecting the Vista drive as default boot one?
I dont want to end up without being able to boot at all though.

I think the problem is the version of easybcd. You'll need the beta version of 2.0. The older version would have will work if the vista database were still there, but since you reformated the drive, Windows probably created a hidden boot partition.
