    Cool 3x HD5870 Vantage Results

    My first time using triple GPUs of any kind (ATI or Nvidia). Tight fit there with the HD5870s slotted into PCI-E x16 #1 + #3 + #5 slots.

    For 3x HD5870 Tri-CF

    For 2x HD5870 CF

    System:

    Only 3d Vantage posted rest of the results at http://i4memory.com/f18/hd5850-hd587...rs-club-21041/

    3x HD5870 Tri-CF
    3d Vantage @850/1200 vs @950/1250

    @850/1200 at 1.149v
    @950/1250 at 1.149v

    Pushed W3570 a bit higher at 27x173bclk for 34,904

    2x HD5870 CF
    3d Vantage @985/1263

    @985/1263 at 1.212v

    Here's hoping to 9.12 drivers being much better

    Great results eva, that 3570 is working quite nice on h20 as far as I can see

    How's CFX scaling in the rest of the benchmarks ? Or you didn't have the time to test yet ?

    thanks, rest of the results at http://i4memory.com/f18/hd5850-hd587...rs-club-21041/ just didn't want to make this thread too long winded at first hehe. 3x hd5870 scaling well in 3dmark2003, and 3d vantage (with right drivers). Not so much in 3dmark06 and 3dmark05 for 4.6ghz at least.

    Very nice results!
    Just curious... why didn't you push your GPUs to 1GHz? Overheating? Or is it just no way they are going to make it so far?

    thanks zalbard

    Just taking it easy for now slowly creeping up to it waiting for better drivers. And these new 9.12 beta (8.14.10.0716) drivers are bloody awesome for 3x HD5870 Tri-CrossfireX - new personal best scores all round for me. Even managed to squeeze out a bit more on my W3570 using 29x multi instead of 27x multi and jump in vcore from 4614mhz at 1.448v to 4695mhz 1.520v.

    We need to get you using a single-stage Very nice results with the 9.12 drivers, the performance they provide in Vantage is stellar.

    Yup, Eva....its time for you to move to the "Dark Side". Very Nice results but wait till you go COLD!!!!! (that 3570 deserves it!!)

    PS Are you using 2 CFX links for a reason?? I thought only one was recommended??

    Nice benching (as always) mate

    I think your W3570 is the right chip to start with sub zero benching - i had the same batch (3847A696) and it scales very good with cold...

    thanks - got LSI 9260-8i and Intel X25-M coming today as well

    Still on leaked 9.12 8.14.10.0716 beta drivers. Tried higher cpu clock but W3570 seems to hang in CPU tests at 4723Mhz for Vantage but fine for 4753Mhz 3dmark05 at least (max 3dmark05 benched on W3570 HT On H20 is 4803Mhz).

    My first bench with GPU clocked at 1000Mhz @1000/1275

    Could you try running 03 with 2 GPU's? Wonder if 3 is even necessary to max the cpu out at those speeds.

    had one driver run for 3dmark2003 and 3x gpu definitely gives boost over 2x gpus

    3Dmark2003 - nice boost 3x GPU = 158,942 VS 2x GPU = 130,936

    No matter what i try can't get W3570 past 4700mhz HT enabled for 3d vantage cpu test while on water cooled cpu. So moved onto 3dmark05 and AM3 is much easier to hit 4802mhz HT enabled water cooled.

    System:

    Bumping bclk to 23x209 with memory at DDR3-2088Mhz 8-9-8-24 1T.
