Thank you for the insider knowladge, very interesting, I must use this trick.

    [QUOTE=fhantastic;4157789]so my friend

i have taken a piture for you zu explain it

    As for grinding the caps.

    I don't get it.
Do you mean removing the name/blue looking print off the top of capasiters.

Please, by all mean have a laugh at my expense if I have this wrong.
But, do please let me in on your secret, I just have to know.

I just can't let a change pass with out learning something.

But the word "Grind" gives me the impression that you used a 5" angle grinder like this http://www.justtools.com.au/prod1541.htm just with a grinding disc not like the cutting disc in the link.

Or did you use some sort of solvent to remove the print/dye from the tops of the capasiters.
Ok Ok, I know, your really just an extreme hardcore at heart, aren't you.

Solvent only worked with the caps on my board
He had to rub it away and just did a great job

Do you plan on grinding the writting (Tygon R3603) off the tubing as well.

    Or can solvent remove it?

As to the perspex/acrylic fitting near the stopers, what is it for, LEDs?

Photos are excellent! as per the norm with you, well done mate.

I was about to ask that, too. With all that attention to the capacitors I was surprised he left that on there.

fhantastic, what exactly did you use to remove the writing on the capacitors? Mind sharing it with us?

Very nice photographic setup there, do you use a specialized light or just a remote flash ?

Actually Tygon writing just goes off by rubbing it with fingers.

I don't think he meant as much as "grind" as opposed to "sanded"
