Make that one pin less and you got Ivy goodness
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I made this BIOS to test the ROM after extraction from another Intel BIOS, so thought I'd share the update instead of tossing it in the bin

    Why 11.1.0.1413 ?

    There is also 11.5.0.1111.

Are there any Problems with 11.5.0.1111 ?

Because it was the newest non-alpha one at the time, by request.

I can make one for you with 11.5 if you want, if so let me know and let me know which exact BIOS you want modified! No issues with it that I've heard about.

OK, will do later this evening, and I'll PM you so you know it's here.

In the meantime, you look or ask around about the latest Marvell ROM, I don't use or advise those ports so I really haven't kept up lately with which version is faster/better. I can switch it out though if you want, reply back and let me know for sure if you want it or not, newest isn't always best so keep that in mind. I'll wait until you reply back on that, otherwise I'll leave it the version it already is.

You're welcome, I'm always happy to help!

It'll be fine, go ahead and test!

I just always say untested if I do not personally have time to test myself. For this, I can test but my Ud7 is not setup right now, so I didn't test it.

The BIOS mod will be fine though, I mod them all the time without any issues, so it's OK to use for sure!

Don't try it anymore then, thanks for the heads up! It might just be due to your older BIOS version or size difference? What BIOS are you on now?

Anyway, I will test it tonight and let you know what I find out! Thanks again for the heads up! I may have just used an incorrect tool version to mod it, I thought I might have a time or two last week but no one mentioned anything failing until now.

So if that's it, no problem to fix (And sorry I did it!), I'll do the mod again and post for you tonight!

Yes, Intel is the best to use with SSD!

Thanks man! Yes, there is a thanks button, under each users name/avatar on the left, on each post - Except your own, no thanking yourself

Horsi74, I'll test that shortly if you are reading this now! I bet I just used the wrong version to edit it, I always forget which works best for each board and doing many mods for various boards I sometimes forget to double check which version I'm using when I'm in mod mode

    Thanks again Horsi74!!!

That was the issue, I was modifying too many files that day, and mistakenly used the wrong version for this board!

New link edited into the above, tested and working!

Don't forget to set Force for Marvell update!

Great to hear all went smoothly for you this time around!

Really sorry about that previous file, I should have paid closer attention to what I was doing! The issue was I modified P67 and Z68 BIOSes several times that day, and then X58 in between, and they all need different versions of the tool used to work properly, but no matter what version you use they all look the same and look like they work too so it's hard to keep track if you are doing a bunch of mods at once. This taught me though, I'll pay extra close attention from now on, sorry again!

It depends on the drive really, but for this board and SSD I suggest Intel ports anyway, much more stable and faster 4K speeds. The ONLY thing the Marvell gives you is faster sequential speeds in benchmarks

As I've mentioned before, the latest marvell BIOS rom may not be the fastest either, but even if it is it's probably only 10-20MB/s faster than the others (if that). And I do not know which one is faster, I know there used to be an old one that was fastest, but I have not used those ports in so long I forget which it was and who showed me which one was better way back then so I can't even go ask them so I can grab it to compare to the most recent one.

The only drives I've ever tested on the Marvell ports are 128GB C300's, and that was on all older stuff (old ROM's, drivers, ect), you can see those results in my C300 review linked in my signature.

Haha, maybe you have an ad-blocker or something stopping the thanks button from showing up? If not, clear cookies and cache and sign back in and see if that helps.

It's here, under the avatars, on each post except your own posts
