Im working all weekend but i'll see what I can do for ya

Devils advocate: why should they test at high BCLK? Its a low voltage kit... less heat, less power used. Doesnt fit well with overclocking at all. Horses for courses

K404 I just got a 2nd kit of this so I have 8gb now. but I just killed my p7p55D dlx and now on a msi GD65. the ram settings in the latest bios are pretty lackluster and no option for 1t/2t cmd rate and board seems to keep running the ram below spec. I'll try to enable XMP then go change the clocks. I'd like to post some shots with all dimms filled. I'll see if I can find GD55/65 thread and do some recon duty. I dont want to derail this thread but I noticed this kit. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-329-_-Product

    How do these compare?

i still havent given up on the 2 eco kits I have. I just gotta get used to this msi bios.

Are the older BIOS any better?

Do you know what went wrong with your P7P? Heard a couple stories about them being involved in dead computers for no good reason......

150 BCLK is hardly what I would classify as "high" my friend. I can understand if it was value mem that wasnt meant for any OC whatsoever but man. They should have just binned 800Mhz at 1.45v or 750 at 1.35v in my opinion.

True, not high but OC is OC and we're still in the minority I'd still have been impressed at 1.45v.. would have made their binning easier too

Zac... have you tried swapping your stick order over? Thats helped me countless times

1.4v would probably do it even. I also dont get why they speced 7-8-7 and not 6-8-6 because it gives the same result and more people would say ooo cas 6. I think it has something to do with a variety of different chips being used in the same kit, some working well at cas 6 and some not.

6-9-6 2000 if you are lucky, but at TRCD 7 800 is pushing it.

Retested 7-8-7, 1.35v at 133 BCLK and 2:12 for 800Mhz. 100% stable. I guess you just have to keep BCLK at stock for spec speed at 1.35v. Above that maxes out at 754Mhz.

GD65 was a waste of time on i3. Even german website beta clarksdale bios's were laughable. half of them ran the 5850 at x8. the ram cas would always go to cas9 no matter what I did. (believe me I tried it all)
30lbs of dice wasted plus my sat night. the asus p7p55d dlx was the champ so far as far as bclk. the msi was a joke for bclk. the msi dudes were trying to blame my lack of ocing history and the mem controller of the i3.
one stick from the 2nd kit i ordered was fubar.
msi board went back and the 2nd gskill is getting a replacement shipped.
sorry for the delay. got a ud6 and a maximus III formula for this weekend.

if anyone could post some more i3 clarks benches with these I'd appreciate it. I think the rumors on clarks mem controllers being bad is total crap cuz ive seen my 1st kit do the distance on i3.

Eldonk I noticed this too. what was your QPI including qpi ratio st this? when I did it on P7p dx I was on middle qpi setting not the 1st. it was late and I was drinking. I think i was around 1.55vdimm. Now I wish i took ss but got greedy (oh i'll just take one once I get it maxed out) oh dude. should've done it while the board still worked. sorry guys.

davidexD's kit has to use different chips than mine because CAS 6 is the same as CAS 7 for me.

raise the trcd by one step and try to reach the highest frequency in this way.

A 20% decrease in voltage is MASSIVE imagine a 20% decrease in your household electricity bill, G Skill have done well give them credit where it's due.

Lower voltage = less heat- less heat = less fans- less noise= happyness
