Well my max benchable is in my last post with a screenie. My max 24/7 would be about 1050-1075 core and 1350-1450mem. MWould have to do some furmark testin but i am pretty happy with 1050core and 1350 mem so i will keep that. But yeahh all my last post in this thread were suicide benchmark run where my card or my cpu could just go bonkers after i did my run and i wouldnt mind if i had time to take a screenie. Especially when you go 1100+ core and 1450+ mem things can go bad really fast with only1.35vcore and stock vmem. Many times after a too optimistic run ihad to let my card to cool down a bit to be able to use normally my comp even at stock setting or i couldnt even get to do a single thing done after booting and my card would crash.

Did a run of 3Dmark 03 @ 1.0GHz/1.3GHz on 1.2volts, stable as a rock and really nice temps.
Custom fan proile maxed out on 43% with a max load temp of 63C. Ambient 25C. Thats a 24/7 right there.

Pr@$r1g, i finally did manage to beat you but at a big price. I found out my cpu 1.5v for 4.3ghz. So here we go, 4.3ghz i5 750, 2150 mhz 9-9-9 24 1t 4gb trident and my hd5770 @ 1112/1465. All that added up for a 13058 score in vantage I finnaly did manage to break the 13k with my little voltage junkie i5 750

Now i need to find bigger ball to go higher and maybe get in the top 5 for hd 5770 x1 vanatge ranking. But that mean i could laugh at all those xeon and i7 user because i beated them with my little i5.

Friendly competition, that is always nice. Next Goal is 13100 vantage point.

Edit: you might win it for the moment pr@$r1g, i have some strange cpu throttling at 4.3ghz+ in vantage and i can only get 1 more point than you. Will try to check out why it is doing that.

i know, u will will crush me when you start goign higher with your i7, but hey, its nice to see that i can keep up with my little i5 750, i might give a try at a i3 or i5 660, they seem to be more easy to overclock, could then get into top5. but not for the moent since school is starting back and i have alot of book to buy.

Edit, did manage to get the ball and get my cpu running at 1.575v !!!!!!! and manage a 4380mhz vantage run with gpu at 1116/1472 still at only 1.35v
Result? Top 5 in hd 5770 x1 vantage performance and 13166p

The big question now is do i have the ball of running at 1.6v and higher on air ???But seriously i gotta love my 5770, it is a monster. Next thing would be flashing to asus bios for having the possibilities to run at 1.5vcore and go higher or learn how to solder and do some hardware mod.

Did a bit of searching, if i want to go higher its either i get me some ln2 for my card which should love ln2 and high voltage for even higher clock. Could even show 5870 brat wat is running high core speed . The way is it scaling for the moment with so little voltage, i could assume something near 1400mhz on the core with ln2 and over 1.5vcore. For cpu, i either need to buy another i5 and hope the new one is better or go for i7 lga1156 or x58 way. Without this, i think this score will be my all time best.

My 5870 seems to do pretty well on water. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=1793704 This is 24/7 stable. Might still be able to go a bit further since I'm only at 1.26v.

u r just unbelievable ,u just kicked my butt..............

Ur GPU clocks makes a difference ,but im stuck @ 1.262v ,if i increase the vcore it crashes with the same clocks,i have ordered a new GPU cooler to cool it.....down ................
i will also go for a vmod ...............

for now i will have to wait ,keep going , its nice to see some one friendly

Yeah i like my card so much.Never thought i would be that much lucky on my first computer build. For cpu, i gotta learn tweak and some info about vantage before getting without frying my mobo and my cpu 13200p could be doable.

Pr@$r1g, just go directly to 4.4ghz, i am sure you can do it with your cpu, that is atleast 200 total free point and about top4 or top3 position.got also some tweaking for you in pm

Oh, you guys. I've bought a Radeon 5850 OC. Hopefully I can get close to 1GHz.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

    Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

yeah lucky him, he have a ncie xeon, still trying to figure out some way to get even higher without having to use 1.6v on cpu core. Very nice score funky, i am thinking of getting a i7 860 or a 1156 xeon just for benching use so i can go claim that 2nd or maybe even 1st spot.

I am starting to hate my i5, even @ 1.5v and 4200mhz i could not be vantage stable WTF!!!!! Look like its time to start saving for a i7 860 or a xeon or get another i5 750.

    Yep, shure is.

In fact it will go higher on the GPU, but not on the mem.

yeah, stock cooler and aftermarket cooler are just such piece of s for cooling the memory. Atleast putting some heatsink on the back side mem chip seem to help, for my hd5770, it have gave me about 20mhz for meme and that is without any vmem mod. Another thing and i wont say it enough, vrm are poorly cooled even with watercooling, just ln2 can cool properly the vrm because of the low temp near your gpu pot. Also guy, need a bit of advice, looking for a new cpu for benching, should i get a 1156 xeon, a i7 860, get another i5 and hope it can overclock better or i really need to go with x58 to get some good overclocking potential. I do like my mobo and everything else, its only my cpu is annoying me.
