Dude,
You've come to XtremeSystem where overclocking everything is needed!
btw, graka is short for grafische kaart, a dutch word that won't be understood here. Well, not really. Better call it gfx card (graphics card) or vga.
Now oc the heck out of the card and make me proud to be dutch again.

I wouldn't worry about breaking your gfx just by overclocking it. The 5xxx series of cards have got built in protection so they will throttle down if you OC too far

Amongst other things. Artifacts (clearly a sign that you need to lower clocks sometimes), error messages related to the driver (happens a lot with Vantage or 3DMark 06), and throttling. Do a Google search on something like "WTF DUDEZ why is my 3dmark score lower when i ovarclocked moar!?!?!?!?" and you will see.

No, it's fine. This thread is about 5xxx series over 1 Ghz core and you post stock results... :/
Smile
I'm getting GSOD at 1Ghz no mater how much voltage I increase.
The GPU temps stays at 70-72c.
I've tried latest bios, still the same issue.
Can it relate to GPU memory overheat or what?
72c..sheesh much too high for my tastes. I would fan it myself to keep it cooler, if it were the only way..lol!
*just an idea..but maybe try running it cooler..and see if the problem persists..obviously.
Hi.
My friend have a problem. From the begining was problem with 5870 Power Color. After power on the computer sometime gpu doesnt send signal to Monitor but windows is starting. Turning On and OFF lcd is not working. Any idea?
HIS 5870 Reference -- so far I've only taken it up to 1000MHz Core/1250MHz mem with 1.25v on the core. This is with an EK FC Waterblock. I'm sure it can go higher, but I haven't pushed beyond that.

For stock 5770 that it would be safe voltage to reach 1GHz
