Does a Socket 775 CPU fan fit a socket 1366 MB

I'm looking to upgrade my MB to a i7 and want to know if my existing Socket 775 fan will work in the 1366 MB holes. It seems that new fans support both but I'm not sure if I'll need a bracket or something for my exiting one.

Is the hole on both the 775 and the 1366 the same?

    Thanks in advance.

The mounting holes are in different places for LGA775 and s1366. This doesn't necessarily mean that your CPU cooler will or will not fit both, however - as you mention, most manufacturers are now selling their coolers with s1366 mounting kits. If you can tell us which cooler you have and when you bought it we could perhaps be of more help.

LGA775 is 72mm between holes, LGA1366 is 80mm. So you are gonna need a new bracket at the very least, no way to make it fit, it's too small.

Foxconn's 1366 motherboards do have 775 mounting holes though. Maybe some others too

    Tuniq T120 Tower CPU.

The newest version of the T120 (Extreme) does say that it is....

    Compatibility Intel LGA775 / LGA1366 / LGA1156
    AMD K8 754 / 939 / 940 / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2
    LGA1156 (1156 backplate set required)

I've seen a posting where someone sent email to Sunbeam with no response on getting a additional bracket for the 1366 for the original T120...

Anyone see some kind of universal mounting bracket or something?
