    To the bashers:
Give it and us a break huh?
The guy brings something unseen before to Xs and people bash the guy and say 'mine is better'.. So what, bring out your E8700 and compare or kindly be quiet.
Do I go into the Q9650 thread and say my X3380 is better?
Nope, different animal so lets try a little courtesy huh?
    Thanks for listening.

@ Fearlessleader, if you think that you don't have the knowledge to be able to get the most out of this chip,
i'm more than happy to take it off your hands and see what it can really do. I doubt there are many peeps in the world that have
ever got an E8xxx as high as i have on a 24/7 basis, they may have benched higher, but not run it day in and day out higher.
A quick look at the link in my sig should give you all the proof you need. This is a serious offer, so think about it and drop me a PM
    as to what you decide.

I don't want to buy this, but would like to see what max OC you can validate it. Could you try 529x10.5 ? That would become a nice 5.555GHZ.

But of course 667x10.5 would break the 7GHZ barrier . I guess this is what everybody is expecting from this CPU.

Leave the god damn poor guy alone, he got his hands on something cool, something rare, and wants to show it off, thinking some others would find it damn cool(and I for one do).

If I was him, I wouldn't be posting here anymore, I would of already long left. I don't care if your e8400 goes higher on less volts, this thread is about E8700's, if you got one, feel free to chime in about hows yours is better or not, otherwise shut up!

Core 2 Duo(Conroe) was based on the Intel Core Duo(Yonah) which was based on the Pentium M(Banias) which was based on the Pentium III(Coppermine).

Core 2 Duo is a Pentium III on meth.

No, you didn't miss anything. The fact is that Intel probably didn't release this chip because it isn't better. It just comes with a higher multiplier and it's probably only worth having it for benching and not for 24/7 use.

That's what I think about it. But it's still cool to have a very rare chip.

nice work, you should loan it to team pure (kingpin, shamino, andreyang) and see how high they can clock it. A 7 or 8ghz screenshot will help you sell it too.

Ok Guys This is hard for me to say but I have no choice but to sell the chip. I was going to finish the testing and post the results here in this tread. I just can't the death of my best friend has taken all the strength I had left. I really tried to keep going as hard as its been. I just want to go home and say good bye to him he was my best and dearest friend since I was 13. He was my friend 34 years. If going home to say good bye to him was the gift that this chip has given me alone it would be more then enough . I just can't do anymore Please forgive me

I am sorry I must sell it and hope that some one else can finish what I started

Thanks to all that have supported me in this journey its been one hell of a ride!!

Sorry if my temper has sounded short at times Please I don't mean too

I have to get home Buffalo by Tuesday night to be at the Funeral the day after. Nothing much else matters I must say good bye Please understand

It is rather interesting to actually see an example of this chip... Fearlessleader how is it that you actually aquired it? Do you have connections at Intel?
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.
