mounting problem

I have a problem working out when the mount is tight enough,close cell head has about a 2mm overhang from the evap , the reason i am asking is because every time i try mounting it i get different temp readings do i have to keep
going until the screws are tight?

Whats the best way to work it out?

You want contact, snug, and then a little bit more. You don't want to warp the motherboard or anything. But you want tight enough that the foam head is compressed.
