I can only stretch to an NVIDIA GTX 275 graphics card, can anyone recommend a good one, I'm kinda limited to £200, and live in the UK...

Hmmm. I don't play games on my PC, but I do a lot of web/graphic design so I need a card that's gonna be able to cope with high resolution imagery. So I thought a gaming card would be best. One that plays nice with Photoshop would be ideal. I am a total NVIDIA fanboy however as I have NEVER had any problems with them...
I don't like Radeon chipsets, we have them at work and they do nothing but crash the PCs and fail.
for non gmaing use dont get a high end card they draw alot of power for no reason, i would look to a cheap ati card that u can use firegl/pro drivers with or a g92 if u want NV. but if u do web and photo work make sure that u get a spider or some other sort of calibration unit.
a 4870 with V8750 drivers or a 4670 with V5700 drivers would be my 1st choice as of now but a 5770 would also be a good pick. if u have to go NV get a g92.
and i doubt that its the ati cards killing your work comps it most likely a broken windows install or a bad psu/MB

By G92 do you mean GTS250?
Isn't the G92 chipset nearly two years old though, which is practically a pensionable age in chipsets?
yah the g92 is old but it dosnt die like the lowend NV parts and it has good drivers with most of the bugs out. the 275 would just sit there and waste power, and the g92 is in everything from the 8800gt/gts512, 9800gt/gtx and the 250gts (there are other oem only ones but u wont find them)

Everyone's recommendations seem to be getting lower and lower. But it does look as though I have specc'd my card a little too high.
May go for a GTX260 instead...
the 260 is the same as a 275, go for a g92

How can I tell what has a G92 chipset? I assumed all GTX260's had G92's in them...
the 260/275/280/285/295gtx are all g200/g200b, the 250gts, 8800gt/gts 512 and the 9800gt/gtx(+) are all 100% g92
