This is just a club, with the bar set at just the right height to make it a challenge for most people. Sure, theres always an element of competition - but if this ranking of cpu/batches where to become a real competition we would need much strickter rules and control.

Some people rigs up their AC unit, some go outside for low ambient - to get as high as they can. Others just run with 24/7 settings and temps. I think both ways are good, its just a club.

Some people dont give enough info about cooling and ambient etc to be a valuable entry for me or others interested in batch info, so that would be my prefered wish for improvement. But ultimately, this club is one of the better batch info threads I'v seen in years, so keep'm coming.

I agree 100 percent , this is just like a xbox360 achievement 4.5 is the win nothing more here , if better temps volts or bandwith, good for you. Passing with a 4.5 stable face is all that is needed here . . but I also agree with OC nub it should be proved , not every screen , but at least run cpu z screen threw middle of linx run . . . cause people who think this is a competition might be showing invalid info . . or to good to be true

I have enjoyed this thread a lot, just haven't had a good new chip in a while to post any results. If there was one thing I would change in this thread, it would be a requirement to show a screen of the test while its running. With the software motherboards come with now its easy to make an average chip look like a Super clocker. Maybe I am just anal but when I see a screen of a LinX run at 4.5ghz or whatever, and with no screen taken under load it bugs the piss out of me.

Here is an example of why, just a quick run.

    OMG WTF, Uber Chip 1.352v!!!!

    cooling.

Actual voltage under load, can do better but just set this up quick.

No offense to anyone, a lot of hard work went into getting these results to post in this thread by everyone.

I love the irony is this one lol ah ha ha , we need a picture of a pentuim 4 next lol

@sergio its a golden chip he has, and i believe he mentioned he sold it already :

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Very hard to believe the last stable clocks... :p Think you are overdoing it now... and fell into ya own trap...

Give me a shot plz with LinX running at them speeds... Realtemp, coretemp, turbo tool open... think you are on chilled water or such... but 5Ghz LinX stable is quite an achievement... this needs further investigation :p

Agree. That's as fake as they get. For so many obvious reasons that it's not even worth mentioning.

    Opinions?
Don't jump the gun, wait for at least 1 that is def an honest submission to ensure it is obtainable by retail silicon first....if we see at least one within a month after release (I'm still skeptical about 5GHz being common)....then go for it. But I wouldn't set that president too soon

I don't know if I'd go as far as to say fake, probably something not quite right with the setup. Either way, with low GFlops the system isn't being near fully stressed.

The 1.5125 Vcore showing in easytune and low minimum temps is related to eist/c1e being on, bios settings are vcore to normal and dynamic set to +0.1125.
