Nope. You do know there is usually more then just black and white. How about putting your faith in the product when they prove it's actually working. Haters, blabberings and BS PR is all crap which is exactly what this thread started off to be. There is no proof it is what they say it is just like the wood screw special.
Of course marketing and PR are not black and white, I don't trust Nvidia or ATI or Intel or AMD or Company X to tell me the whole truth anymore than I would trust my government to tell me the whole truth.
However Fermi is supposedly up and running/demoing at SC09, so why would they fake a picture on their facebook page when they've got a live demo.

Hahaha, omg there was a second mouse! It's defintely fake.
That's not even necessary. The theoretical advantage is 8x so 6.2x isn't unexpected.

I really don't care about double precision calculations at all. We don't need that in gaming performance. What i would like to see is this thing finally coming out and kicking ass so all the prices can come down a little and the customer can have a choice. That's what I would like to see instead of BS PR marketing filled with wood screws.
When have nvidia coolers been more crappy as of late?
If its most recent quarter is any indication. Nvidia charges $100 dollars more if they did do a rebadge, then turn out 100 million dollar profit while AMD graphic division makes a modest profit of 5 million dollars.
Seriously those, AMD graphic division has a hard time churning out big numbers, no matter what they do. I hope AMD can make 100+ million dollars this term, but no matter what situation they are in, they can't make big numbers.

Quote from the NV facebook
The worldwide leader in visual computing technologies and the inventor of the GPU.
That's rich! Nvidia did not invent the GPU...
They also invented the cGPU it seems since that's also a random name they came up with for their Tesla cards.
seriously?
nvidia coolers wouldn't cool an ATi card, nvidia makes there coolers for low noise over cooling, ATi, vice versa.
if they did a rebadge then they'd still be paying ATi, an awful lot by the way, so for every $100 of profit on a $400 card taking in mind general costs of re-badging would put it at about $580 if they wanted $100 profit. ATi pays $200 for the card to make it (this is the R870 BTW) so ATi makes double the profit nvidia does on each card, so the $100mln for nvidia would be over $200mln for AMD.
ATi is doing amazingly for such a small company which only gets it's cash from ultra high end buyers and low end buyers. AMD won't make a profit this Q, even though they got 1.25bln compensation (extremely low BTW considering Intel paid just over 1 in fines to the EU) they paid off some of their debts but took out another loan (yeah, first you think FAIL! but then you consider the amount of money they put into R&D and you rethink about it)
