    No Signal to Monitor

    Hi Guys,
Hope i've posted this in the right place. Feel free to move it if not

I'm turn on my pc and all the fans kick in, but i get "NO SIGNAL" on my monitor screen.
I installed a new psu and some new memory. To install the memory i had to remove the graphics card and when i re-installed and turned on the pc that is what happened.
Code 80 was showing on the LED mobo display as well. I reseated the card, tried the original psu and still got the same. The system is a self build for a mate and is only a few months old and has not been overclocked or tweaked

    The current spec is
    Foxconn Blackops mobo
    Intel q8200 quad core cpu
    Hitachi 1tb sata hdd
Samsumg sata optical drives x 2
    Nvidia 9600 GSO graphics card
    4 x 1g OCZ extreme 1600 DDR3 memory
    850w ocz gamextreme psu
    Vista 64 bit ultimate o/s

    Any advise is appreciated,
    Thanks,

    Johnny D

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=205999 According to these post codes, code 80 is a normal code. Foxconn motherboard support can also be found here with a bunch of FAQs http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...play.php?f=281

Are you able to boot into Windows or hear a chime? Have you tried putting the original memory back in and testing? I would also try a CMOS reset.

    Hi Jabberwock,
Thanks for the links and info.
When it boots i dont get a beep. I was thinking of trying a cmos reset, but on the foxconn blackops mobo, there is the jumper way of resetting cmos and also a yellow button on the board itself called reset cmos1. Any idea if there's a right or wrong one to reset?.
Also, with reference to the codes, before i changed the psu and memory i had code ff which i think is a normal code as well. Not sure what the difference is between 80 and ff.
    Any ideas please?

Both CMOS reset options should do the same thing, I believe the button just makes it easier. You should put the original memory back in and see what happens. I would also post this in the Foxconn support forums here on Xtremesystems as many people people here own that particular board. I believe there is also a Foxconn PSU and memory compatibility list somewhere over there as well.
