Signatures make my posts look huge... but I'm not humble enough to completely remove my signature, so I kept this note explaining it.

ONLY problem i have with noctua D14 was the fact i noticed it was soo bulky, a lot of high end RAM modules wouldnt fit because of the high heat spreaders(fins) which really turned me off, the fact you can remove said fan on the side, is a neat quality but performance worth it? probably not, im quite pleased with my C2D Qx9650 on a zalman CNPS 9900NT pure copper base and black pearl nickle plated doing 4GHz 24/7 with 35 idle- 55 load using prime 95 small FTT linx 67-70 depending on room temps...
And plenty of room for my Elpida hypers to enjoy there new homage beside my zalman.(you make knock on zalman but this model is great)

1600 6-6-6-18 super talent(speed series) MGH-E hypers!
WOOT!
But it came from Austria.
OK, so the shipping is trivial. But how many vendors want $9.50 shipping on a $2 clip? That's not a rhetorical question, BTW.
So: they charge me nothing for the replacement or for their time in considering the request, and they send the packet to me free.
We'll see what happens when I again request from Arctic Cooling a replacement peg-spreader for my Freezer Pro 7.

hey guys are u using the fans which come with the d14 and the silver arrow? Kinda low rpm/cfm fans..
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
D14-Yes , all stock.
I modified two 120mm x 38mm 110 cfm panaflows to use the stock clips. One pushing and one pulling, they only dropped the temps by 5C. They are very loud and not worth only a 5C drop. Another stock 140mm fan would be nice, stock is almost silent and performs very well.
Stock fans with I7 950 at 4.5G and 1.525Vcore was 96C running LinX at 21C ambiant.
Rampage III Gene I7 950@4.48G--1.485V HR-02 12G G.Skill 1600-1.5V, GTX470-SLI@725core 1750mem, Antec P180 MINI
5c quite a bit when u have the fans not using them, i have 4x 115cfm panas just sitting there not using them, What about the silver arrow still great on stock?

+1
My case is off limits to anything brown or salmon. Getting D14 with TY-140 fans is my plan.
