I have such poor timing. I bought the EX series from XSPC series and not a month later they release the multi-port version. And now it repeats with the XT45. Oh well. Hope it becomes the standard going forward. Those bottom ports are just so dang useful

Suprised to see DD still making such minimalistic-esque blocks in comparison to your Heatkillers/Koolance/AquaComputers etc.

Do all these companies make their own blocks, or do they farm out the work to someone else and then put their label on, like with radiators?

Yeah most of these companies own a few CNC Milling/workstation style systems. One could technically start doing this rather easily for around ~$20,000.

Judging by the ridiculously high feed rates most of these companies use (nasty machine marks), I'm not too sure that all of them manufacture their blocks in house.

A lot probably have their machining done by a 3rd party manufacturer, where time really is money.

For prototyping they probably do have a small scale mill.

Looks nice but rather silly to do that all with such a small end mill. Could get a better finish and do it in a 1/50th the time if he invested in a good face mill.

That XSPC block earlier in the page looks awesome. Looks like XSPC is finally upping their game. Their new res looks good as well as compared to the old one and this new block looks way better than what they had for the last gen.
