Believe you can make a difference and you will!

Every completed work unit gets scientist and researchers closer to better treatments and some day a cure for this devastating plague.

1 PC or 100. We need them all and they all help. All you need to do is decide to act.

The Xtremesystems WCG Team is a real team of great people who will be very happy to help you get started.

I am usually pretty emotionally cold and don't get bothered by most things. Yet every time I see this thread, those paintings by the little kids really tug at me in a still unexpected way.

Yes, more cores! But I'd also encourage everyone here (with the means to do so) to make direct financial contributions to a cancer-focused organization as well. We give to The American Cancer Society, MD Anderson, and Susan G. Komen. There are many other worthy organizations; find one you like & send 'em a couple of bucks.

Remember, it's a war with multiple fronts. Participate in as many as you can!

Thanks for posting this PG. Seeing these pictures makes it so clear why we are doing what we are doing here.
When I see a thread like this or read about childhood cancer I always have think about the 2nd picture you posted HERE. And I just can't imagine how helpless her dad must feel at the moment that picture was taken. If we can help find a cure and stop that pain it is all the motivation we need to cruch.

Here is that same little girl undergoing treatment. It would kill me to see one of my grandkids going thru this.

I know there are people reading these forums that do not participate in WCG or other DC projects.
I hope you will be touched by these pictures and realize the reality of it and what children and their parents go thru.

Below is a link to a series of pictures about a boy named Derek Madsen, who has neuroblastoma, and his mom Cyndie French. I felt like it deserved to be in this thread.

I recommend that you turn the captions on.

man that's powerful. the only thing worse than cancer is childhood cancer. I had to watch my extended family go through losing a 7-year old boy and it's hard, there's no way to really express how hard it is.

What is that? Tattoo on the stomach?? Anyone know how that works? I know in "Breaking Bad" the main character has a round red spot on his chest from chemo.
