    Well put!!

With all seriousness aside now, how did you manage the lighting as your use of the "depth of field" ticket really makes the shot and for that lighting is critical.

    2 Things:
    1: It's a She, not a he
    2: it's not in a lightbox, it's in a window. See bellow.

The cat loves to relax in one of our windows in our house. the bottom of the window is white as are the frame around the window. The shot is taken up against the window at a sunny day, setting the exposure on the cat and then blowing out the background. The rest is a little Levels in Photoshop, and some cloning.
As for the depth of field, it wasnt really hard at all. The car is really lazy, and I had plenty of time to get the aperture right. This shot is taken shortly after she stretched out trying to reach my lens as it came a little to close to her

I hope thats answer enough for you guys, and you understand what i mean. As you can see my native language isnt English

Weevil any difference between a long haired and wire haired venersnitzle?

As I honestly thought that was some variation of "terrier" in your avatar!

Funny that you thought terrier, thats what they used to get the Wirehair back in the late 1800's. The "long hair" has long silky hair and is much more mild mannered than the wire. They bread the wirehair for a more robust coat, and attitude, both inherited from the terriers.

Thanks Wega, I wouldnt have chosen this dog myself, I like larger working breeds normally but the dog needed a loving home and the wife and daughter wanted her so I went along with the adoption, our next dog will be a Dutch Shepherd for sure now =)

Isn't that "liver" color a wee bit unusual for the breed?? Is a bit cute, hope it doesn't do the "standard shake and yap"!! Adoption is grand all the way around......

I really dont know about the color, I knew nothing of the breed (other then not caring for them much at all lol) when we got her, with us she is laid back and calm, if a stranger comes around she turns into one of those nasty little yapping , nipping dogs. Spend 10 minutes with her and she is your best friend. I am trying to break her of the barking and such but she is 8 yrs old and pretty set in her ways.
