Moar photos I've named everyone depictured, left to right in every photo

    tsan + sofos1990 benching 3DMark2001 with E8600 + GTX295

mortisboy, tsan, sofos1990, giorgos th., George_o/c, Winters, junior21, Gorillakos

    That's the system I benched with junior21. GTX295 + Core i7 950 + Classified. First day 5.3GHz SPi 32M and ~5.5GHz SuperPi 1M... second day 5.15GHz AquaMark for a bit... After that couldn't even bench SPi 1M @ 4.9GHz Damn' you Classified

I'm messing with LN2 again to attract attention LOL

Tsan and sofos trying to bench 2D with the CPU @ -173*C

    junior21, Seaside

    George_o/c, Winters, GoriLLakoS

There you go. Another upcoming Greek overclocker, phil

    mortisboy & mapp gas, defreezing

    junior and LN2 vapor

Only 5.15GHz AquaMark as I previously said

Seaside is ready to drink liquid nitrogen

zafiropo, Stelaras, GoriLLakoS in the back, pastelidis in the front

    LOL

    Stelaras, Pastelidis and Gorillakos

Damn' you sofos1990, what a jinxer I'm starting to lose my patience with all this bad luck ROFL, notice how angry I am looking at his face and forgetting all about defreezing the pot

    Gorillakos is refilling thermos

This is how junior21 is looking after ~10 hours of LN2 benchmarking

Look at sofos1990 focusing on his rig. That's what I call dedication

    mortisboy is freezing his beer...

180L are now finished. We need to bring in 360L more

    BenchZowner + geo7dlx. Hillarious photo

    Crio

I just had to pour some more LN2 on the floor to attract everyone's attention. Some of the visitors who didn't have the faintest idea about LN2, thought that the floor was on fire

    Core i7 860 + Gigabyte P55 UD6 + 3 x GTX285

    Insulating zafiropo's Rampage Extreme

    Hipro again

hmmm could it be that 32nm chips have different cache timings?
the diference here is notably bigger than with c2, isnt it?
in that case it might not be fixable :/
i remember ronak said they found some "tricks" on how to expand L2 size in 32nm without hurting latency that much...
maybe those tricks are already implemented so they can just patch on more cache later...
i hope im wrong and this can be fixed!

well it could still be a bios glitch and its present in all bioses for now...
could even be a glitch on intels side in their mrc code...
the bios engineers just need to check what the changes between the cpu being detected as gulftown and bloomfield are... sounds a lot easier than it is though i bet

    Thanks Peter....

    NOW.......

    That's what I call:
"A company that RESPECTS it's customers"

ONLY ONE day needed for a new bios.......
    VERY FAST SUPPORT....No?....

Now let's see what we've got here....

    i7 975 CPU and EVGA 760 mobo....

"OLD Bios" for i9 Gulftown CPU and EVGA 760 mobo....

NEW Bios for i9 Gulftown CPU and EVGA 760 mobo...

NOT BAD AT ALL I could say.....
The >1sec margin in those compares between the i7 and the i9, could be due to the run....

Once again, you were right my friend...
A lot easier for us to "see" it BUT hard enough for a company's bios engineer to rewrite a new bios in one day......Those EVGA bios engineers must be dumn good....

Nice! But i9 has more L3-Cache, so it must be a little bit faster or not?
