    VFD for the Blood Rage

Ok, so since it does not look like Foxconn will ever release the VFD that they advertised for the Blood Rage, is there another VFD that will work with it? Can the Asus OC panel work with it?

I would like to see the panel as well. And I know there are many bloodrage (and other) users who would like to have one or two

Hm.. cause latest ASUS creation (Sabertooth) looked very similar to Foxconn mobos.. maybe yes. But I guess that some firmware flash would be necessary.. Tough, I think that BR and whole QF is now abdoned and history.. without future.

    How many times guys...

QF isn't abandoned, there's Beta BIOS for Flaming Blade, BloodRAGE and BloodRAGE GTI supporting Core i9's and new Inferno Katana P55 boards.

VFD is dead I'm sure, but Quantum Force are still there just don't expect the same funding as Asus' ROG boards or EVGA Classified's.

I know the VFD from Foxconn is dead, but is there another VFD, like the Asus, that will work with the BR? Just figured since we are obviously getting support from QF for the BR, maybe someone from Foxconn could answer this.

No chance a Asus VFD or any other would work with a BR sorry. Neither company would want that!

it could work, but it wont... youd need a custom firmware for that to access the pwm controllers and registers via smbus...
actually things that are register controlled via smbus might work... so changing cpu multipliers and memory timings might actually work... but i wouldnt recommend anybody to try it...

rich, qf ARE still there is grammatically wrong... afaik its only 1 guy :P

LOL sascha, you starting to listen to the rumours too?

1 guy to write the software, website, BIOS, R&D, design, distribution, marketing and support? Bloody hell he's doing a good job...

There might be one person in one of those departments, but there's a damn site more than one person in total.

Be interested to know who's feeding you crap like that if you're happy to tell us? (PM me if you don't want it public..)

lol, what? you think you know whats REALLY going on inside foxconn how?

software, bios, r&d, distribution, support are all done by employees or teams which are shared between various departments
website is outsourced... marketing and updating the website is done one guy, the last real qf guy... who has to work on other things as well btw which is why he doesnt get to update the site much unfortunately...

    sources? yhpm

now, mind sharing YOUR sources for YOUR rumors?

Maybe lost in translation or how you read it, but we're saying the same thing. The point is that your statement that QF is literally 1 person, would probably be misinterpreted.

Again, lost in translation or misinterpreted? We're saying the same thing, looking at it in different ways.

    No rumours, just Carl.

Yes, you have worked for Foxconn so I'm happy saying that you will know exponentially more than me about how the company works, but there's nothing about sources in your PM. You only said what you knew when you worked for QF 6 months ago now. You must have spoken to someone since, otherwise your view would simply be out-of-date, so I'm just curious as to who it is?

i guess i didnt make it clear enough in the pm... sent you another one
but i wont mention any names or ranks, cause i dont want this to turn into a witch hunt...
its foxconn whos doing the wrong thing by not telling people whats really going on and what their plans are, its not wrong by some of their employees not sticking to the bs and telling some people whats really going on.
