Have not seen other replies, so....

    Per the Swiftech site.....

"Hold-down plates for other processors, such as AMD's and server platforms will be released in the coming weeks and available in option."

So, any updates on actual performance update and/or reviews? Debating between a HK 3.0 or this.

I've noticed you can get a 775 mount for free if you buy one of these. Do I need to get in contact with the supplier or actually with swiftech to get this? As i have 775 at the moment, but will be upgrading to i7 when funds allow...

yes, contact michelle@swiftech.com. if you already have a swiftech block, you do not need anything. just re-use the existing back-plate, they are the same.

Gabe is the 1156 Bracket just a Backplate? or do you get a new bracket to go on the block also ?

The 1156 will be just a backplate...the stock bracket can do 775, 1156, and 1366 (and advertises 771, but I thought that wasn't a square-hole design, so IDK about that).

    Just a back-plate

I need to clear some confusion here In the Motherboard and CPU compatibility secton, we advertise: "The Apogee™ XT is shipped with a universal hold-down plate and retention mechanism compatible with all Intel® Core™ desktop (in bold also on the site) processors: socket 775, socket 1156, and socket 1366. ."

Socket 771 is not Desktop class, it's server class.

I think the confusion comes from the fact that in the Performance section we say "Mechanical design of the copper base plate is optimized for Intel® socket LGA 771, 775, 1156 and 1366"

XT should be better. Less restrictive (and according to Gabe less flow sensitive) and Swiftech's numbers plus Vapor's GTZ numbers make me think this will be a better performer too.

I am hoping the Xt block is alot better then my EK Supreme Gold.. Because I got my water down to 18C last nite running Full Load Prime 95 and my cpu temps dont change much.. appears my block doesnt do a good job transfering heat

I doubt the temps did not change. As the temp shold fall almost equally like water temp.

eddy, the temps are not changing very much as my water gets colder.. I think its because I am using 1/4 tubing like I said in my previous post. "cpu temps dont change much" I am using a Koolance pump that does 7 L/Min with 2.6m Head Preassure.. This is on a Core I7 860 4ghz with HT On 1.39 Vcore

gabe, Will you guys sell the mounting bracket, screws, springs and backplates seperately as a mounting kit from the xt? It would be good for guys that lost it or want to mount their own waterblocks. I like the swiftech mounting.
