ASUS crosshair second pci_e not working

    hey y'all,

I recently bought an asus xonar d2x, and as you know it is pci_e. However when I tried moving the graphic card to the second slot so I could use the x4 for the sound card, I got nothing. I tried different graphics cards, different monitors, no signal was being sent. now the cards would all light up, so I'm assuming they are at least getting power.

I also tried putting the graphics card in the primary slot and moving the sound card the secondary slot and still nothing.

I have a two slot dual gfx cooler, so these are the only two possible configurations.

The motherboard has an nvidia 590 sli chipset if that matters
