Just for troubleshooting purposes, try a modular one. Also, quite a few 8800 series GPUs had "buzz" issues. Do you have access to another GPU with which to test?

I'll try a modular one. And no, I haven't got another one, and the only friend I could borrow one off is away a uni atm

modular in, still doing it. I don't think it is my gfx as its not caused me any trouble before. but i'll see if i can borrow one from someone :/

You should also post in our forum as they deal more directly with these issues on a daily basis. Let them know that this is your second PSU.

The noise has started again
Guess I'm going to have to try it on someone else's pc
I was really hoping it was going to be fine aswell.

It's odd that it came and went. Have you cleared the CMOS? Check the BIOS and see if your C1E setting has changed.

There are more steps in that thread I linked so hopefully you can resolve it. Also, you should go ahead and post at the Corsair forum in the PSU section.
