[Conception Thread] Centurion 5 Mod

First of all I'm very very new here soooooo... hi.


I'm planning to do a mod rebuild of my CM Centurion 5 this late October. I setup this thread to tell you some of my ideas, to ask some questions, and to ask for some suggestions and moar ideas. This is my first (serious) case mod and I hope it turns out to be successful.

I'm breaking this rebuild down into several phases:
Phase 1 - Mod - Late October or November
Phase 2 - Rebuild - December (Christmas)
Phase 3 - Watercool - March/April (Summer)

^ I broke the build down into several phases 'cause those are the only times I get to have free time and have a bit of cash to spend. AND I'm also sticking to a particular budget BUT I'm gonna make sure that I don't compromise on looks.


Possible Future Specs:
- AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition
- MSI 790FX-GD70
- 4GB OCZ Flex EX PC3-16000
- 2x Radeon HD 5770 or 5750 (still gotta wait for release and benchies)
- HEC Cougar 750w
- 80, 320, 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 in RAID 0
- CM Hyper 212 Plus
- and several Scythe Slip Stream 120mm 110CFM fans


Some plans:
- Invert motherboard tray (Inverted ATX)
- Bottom-mounted PSU
- Create a bottom compartment similar to the TJ07
- Interior painted black
- Alloy bezels painted black
- Black Sleeved Cables
- Temp. displays inside and outside the case
- Polished HDDs

- I also plan to paint my PSU black and give it a brushed allow look


- And I also plan to mount my Optical Drive externally on a custom mount that I'll construct, more into that once I start with Phase 1


I need some of your suggestions and answers though:

1.) Should I add 1 (one) or 2 (two) of these on the upper 5.25" bays (what would look better, 1 or 2 of these)?


2.) Should I keep the text on this bezel or should I just sand it off then repaint?


3.) How can I make these ports look brand new again? (I'm thinking of sanding the inside to see what happens)
