    Question AM3 Opteron 1381, 1385 , 1389

I have not seen anyone review one of these babies yet.
    (AM3 Opterons 1381 - 2.5 ghz, 1385 - 2.7 ghz, 1389 - 2.9 ghz )

Note the specs. 75 W TDP for 2.9 Ghz is pretty nice silicon !!!

    guess so
    C3 stepping is getting closer
75W TDP for Phenom II X4 would be sweet
65W TDP for Phenom II X3?

Guys look at the voltage. 2.9 Ghz at 1.225v isn't bad but 75w is doable there...

They are still C2 for now...
Also 75W figure is ACP not TDP

But C3 is close anyway so I'm happy

sry guys i might have missed the ball here, were talking about the 'new' C3 stepping, and i am seeing, 'here soon' and' right around the corner' and so on,

now my question is, has anyone seen anything to confirm this, i know myself we are sort of 'overdue' a new stepping,

but with the success of Phenom II C2's, with LN2 and so on, i supect they are a lttle, shy of rolloing out this new stepping just in case its garbage.

    can anyone confirm for me?

Lightman is indeed correct. Here is the correct information for the "Suzuka" series. Note that AMD's ACP === Intel's TDP, and AMD's TDP == Intel's Max Compute Power. 75 W ACP is not bad. I can't wait to see C3 !!!!

Here is something I find interesting.

    http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AM...CGIBOX%29.html

The Phenom 905e (2.5 GHz) and soon to appear 910e (2.6 Ghz) are a real 65 W TDP. I don't see how going up 400 MHz for the Opteron is almost doubling the TDP, unless there is a lot of headroom.

Gimme a 3.0 GHz 65 W TDP C3 stepping and I will be very, very happy.

Note that NB is running @2200 stock

I'll probably get the 1381 once the price drops a bit.

I can't find these at any shops, even on PriceGrabber.

(edit: found this, but special order only and high price tag: http://www.costcentral.com/proddetai...4DGI/10873925/)

(edit2: these guys seem to have it in stock: http://www.serversdirect.com/product.asp?pf_id=CP2839)

I have 2 1354 Opterons and the BIOS in Gigabyte and MSI boards recognize them correctly even though no mention of Opteron on the manufacture web site.

    I think all 3 should be able to pull 3.6 @ ~1.25v.
The price is way to high atm - the lowest model is around 200$

The new Rana (Propus) X3's and maybe the Deneb 925 should be available now/soon but they haven't hit the major retailers. You can buy them at some less known websites though. I don't know of any C3's coming out this week.
