But I've actually been slackin quite heavily recently. You and SAM have been picking up my slack... thank y'all. Hopefully things will settle down and I'll be back soon.
BTW, at this 50M milestone I'd like to point out to the team: I'm a little guy - the most I've ever had is 2 cards... I started this project on a single GTX 260 and ran that for ~18 months 24/7 before I added a second. That lasted another 6-8 months before they had to be shut down (that computer is being borrowed by my gf and with the cards her room was topping 110F). Built a computer for my roommate with a 570 (he paid for it, I just put it together) that he lets me run currently, and I just won a GTX 460 in the drawing that should go into production this weekend - putting me back up to my 2 cards.
Hopefully I'll be able to add more in the near future, but the point of this rant above is that you don't have to have amazing numbers or great hardware to contribute...just keep chuggin away.

And Otis i haven't been chrunching for GPU grid for a while...still i'm in the top 100 of the team (LOL) and i hope to get 2 cards soon
Yeah, we typically only have 20-25 active members so you don't drop down the ranks very fast until you get in the top 25 or so... but then we got some dedicated guys!Originally Posted by FaYt

I've been trying for the top 10 ever since I started and have only held it for two weeks... then people pass me faster than I can catch the retired members.

The only free PCI slot I have is open due to heat issues. If I raise the heat output of that system the apartment temperature steadily climbs... even with the AC on. Just not enough ventilation to compensate for the heat output.

I could use some vga cards...its frikking freezing here, thought it was almost spring but the wetter decides to go -8 C (celsius) at day time and -12 at night...
keeps my pc cool though :P

Unfortunately I actually already promised my last two to Dave for the SR-2 Build... They're all packed up as soon as I can run to the post office...
I'd recommend 570s though if you can afford them... I'm just hoping Kepler comes out soon so we can see those things in action!
