A very short preview of ASUS P7P55D LE "750 Oced till 3.8Ghz"

Ok i got a i5 750 and P7P55D LE yesterday. The system seemed to work when i plugged everything in and the fan's spun but no video. I checked the card "GTX 275" and everything but still not a thing. Changing the PCIe slot did the trick seems my main PCIe slot is defective!! "ASUS never did i expect this oh this is what i get for buy the lowest priced ASUS P55"

Well moving on the mobo has exposed mosfets above the power phases and i used a series of 8 ram heat-sink's to cool the things down and they seem to work very well for OCing.

I started at 2.66Ghz and tried 4ghz on the first go but the system had other plans for me the thing did boot into windows but got stuck at the antivirus loading splash screen. I tried several vcore settings "Till 1.4v" but it was not meant to be after that i tried 3.9Ghz while i could get into windows the system crashed with benches and stability tests.

3.8Ghz was a different story it is rock solid stable and very good performance boost . Sadly have to RMA the board because of the PCIe i will try an d get a P7P55D instead of the P7P55D LE.

From my point of view if you do go for 1156 dont DONT get the cheapest or the most expensive mobo get a one that is mid priced.

Instead of going to P7P55D(not suport SLI) it will be bet better to go(at same price 149$) to Asrock P55 EXTREME http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157172 which support SLI.
WRM 8 FAZES(GOOD HEATSINKS), POWER/RESET/CLEAR CMOS BUTTONS, DEBUG LED

And the P7P55D LE is a very bad choice at 134$, i mean Asrock also have P55-PRO at 119$ with WRM 8 FAZE with heatsink and power(all EXTREME'S buttons)

And all support LGA 775 coolers, so cheap Asus mb's are a very bad choice. They are not worth their money.

Although the LE board is our entry level to P55 I have found it AUTO voltages to be very solid additionally I have been able to clock it with multiple CPU's ( as well as multiple boards to 4.0 to 4.1GHz. With current bios builds are entire series is performing very well especially with voltage regulation set to AUTO. Additionally the work we are puting in to ensuring a great bios is really extensive and I feel that overall the maturity of our bios builds will once again set us apart from the rest of competitors. Whichever board you pick I do wish you the best of luck. I have been quite impressed though by the P7P55D board and P7P55D PRO if you are looking at midrange.

Are ASRock motherboards part of ASUS motherboards or no relation?

Seems they don't have the P7P55D.... I am thinking about stepping up to a i7 920 instead since the cost of higher end 1156 mobo's are through the roof.

Asrock is not locally avalible here "India" Asus and gigabyte are the only two manufactures that seem to have released them but alas either not in high numbers or the boards are getting sold like hot cakes!! The dealer told me to wait till 15th next month for a P7P55D or a P7P55D LE, a month is too much.
