Please post you're 24/7 OC settings with this CPU.
Mine needs 1.400V for a mere 3.6Ghz, that's too high..no?

My 965 C2 needed 1.4v for 3.8ghz stable which was actually undervolted. What are your temps looking like?
That seems extremely high for 3.6.

1.35 for 3.9 stable
And it's not stable yet! Temperature tops at 51°C.But if you see in the bios I set 1.4125V and look what I get. Overvolts way too much
Gets 1.440V

I used 1.5v on the 955c3 for 4ghz daily crunching on a DFI and Biostar but only ~1.45v on an MSI (it lies)
i have average chip, with 1.4V i have about 3800 MHz with aircooling in 32-bit system

Thanks, gave it a look.
1.35V and 3.9Ghz is what I was hoping. Gonna give it a try with this setting and with 1.5V 4.0Ghz. But not before having updated BIOS,maybe resolves the problem of voltage throttling, look with 1.4125v set:

3.7Ghz with 1.4V quick test stable.
Noticed that when the board tends to overvolt near to a 0.1V crashes, doesn't matter temperature that tops at a maximum 51°C.Writing asrock for getting a new bios that manages better voltage, needs it.Doesn't exist any modded bios for this board?
with 1.4V maybe u can got about 3750-3800 MHz

yes but 1.4V is the limit for my board with this throttling, and cpu needs more to squeeze it. So i'm gonna cross my fingers for a new bios, do that for me mates

With my 955 C3 i needed 1.587v in the bios to achieve a stable 4.2Ghz.
Wow, I feel so humiliated by these results.
I need 1.31v for 3.4 Ghz stable, and I need 1.4v for 3710 stable. 1.466 gets me 3800, and 1.50v gives me 3900. I'm stable at 4010 @ 1.554v.
Yes, my 965BE C3 is THAT bad....and it's on a $325 water loop. Somehow I'm still able to squeeze 4.2 Ghz to bench with. Luckily my CPU_NB is strong and does 3 Ghz stable 24/7. *snickers*

SubZero.it: IIRC my 965 C3 ran best ~1.50v and that was good for ~4.1 stable (on water)...
Temps were the biggest hurdle and it always got squirrley around 53c on the cores.
Every chip is different, but for baseline testing, set your Vcore so that the OV doesn't take it much over 1.5v and keep an eye on temps, trying to keep load below 53c...
As for 1.4v being too much, it isn't, as long as you can keep temps under control.

beepbeep, it is about luckiness and newer batch
i remember when i ordered a 955 c3, i saw that 965 could not oc so well at lower volts. Who knows if 965 oc better on LN2 due higher volt leakage
lets say one cpu sucks on air but is excelled on ln2 as chew says
sorry for destroying the thread with my 955

yes, its about batches...first 0944 or 0942 was great C3 965 for OC, than was some whorse (average) batches, with 955 C3 and newest 965 C3 was good batches, think, most of 10xx batches are good. Know people form czehc forums and they are average 4 GHz with AIR and 1.488-1.5V, someone has 4120 MHz with aircooling and 1.55V stable. Lucky man....I have problem with more 3950 MHz
